Hello, and welcome to another edition of Adam’s Top 10. On this week’s edition, we are taking a look at my top 10 moments from WrestleZone’s Aberdeen Anarchy. With this year’s edition in just under 2 weeks, I thought it would be a perfect fit.

10. Grado, Scotty 2 Hotty and Mini Scotty 2 Hotty – Aberdeen Anarchy 2014

Coming in at number 10 is one of my favourite moments from the 2014 event. Following Grado’s victory over former WWE star Scotty 2 Hotty, he grabbed a little boy from the crowd and brought him into the ring. They, along with Scotty, put on Too Cool hats and proceeded to dance along to Scotty’s entrance music. Every one of them then got their chance to shine. They had an Irn Bru bash, before Grado and Scotty left to leave the boy with his moment in the ring. This was a great moment and I bet the boy went home happy.

9. Scotty Swift’s Flag Bearers – Aberdeen Anarchy 2015

Another moment involving children comes from the 2015 Anarchy. Scotty Swift went into the main event to challenge Joe Coffey for the Undisputed title. For his entrance, he brought two of his biggest fans, Connor and Caelan, out with him. They were waving Scotty Swift flags to give Scotty a little WrestleMania style entrance. To this day, Caelan always waves his flag at WrestleZone events. Again, I bet they went home happy.

8. Jim Duggan Waves the Scottish Flag – Aberdeen Anarchy 2013

Whenever “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan makes his entrance, he’s always waving an American flag. Mr P, who was in charge at the time, brought him in as one of the guests for the first Beach Ballroon event. He made his entrance with the American flag and his 2×4. He started walking around the ring and spotted a fan with a Scottish flag. He swapped flags with the fan and started parading around with the Scottish flag. A patriotic moment for all in attendance that night.

7. Alan Sterling Taps Out – Aberdeen Anarchy 2013/2014/2015

Alan Sterling has tapped out at every single Aberdeen Anarchy event. In 2013, he tapped out to Ross McTavish’s armbar in a tag team match pitting Alan and his brother William against Ross and Scotty Swift. Ross returned in 2014 and again made Alan tap out in WrestleZone’s first ever Submission Match, this time with a Lebell Lock. At the 2015 event, Alan (now a Lord) teamed with Jeeves Winchester, Mr Malice and Sir Andrew Wilde against Mr P, Grado and former WWE star Chris Masters. Alan again tapped out when Mr P locked in the Master Lock. Luckily for him, his submission streak will end this year due to him competing in a Ladder match.

6. The Very First Ladder Match – Aberdeen Anarchy 2014

In 2014 there was a fierce rivalry between the Thunder Buddies and The Hotshots. With both teams using a ladder to attack the other, WrestleZone management booked the first Ladder Match in their history. Definitely one of the most brutal matches I’ve ever seen. Some highlights include William Sterling’s powerbomb onto the ladder and Shawn Johnson diving off the top of the ladder onto both Thunder Buddies. The Hotshots eventually won to start off their third reign.

5. Chris Archer Goes Through a Table – Aberdeen Anarchy 2015

At last years show, Chris Archer and his Dogs of War partner, Mikkey Vago, teamed with Lou King Sharp against the Thunder Buddies and multi-time tag team champion D-Von Dudley. Archer got the pin on Blue Thunder but afterwards, he was taken out by all three men. Dudley retrieved a table and grabbed Chris by his greasy hair. To a huge ovation, D-Von sent The Outcast through the table. Even though he went through the table, I bet Chris felt honoured to be slammed through it by a Dudley.

4. The Revolution Rules Match – Aberdeen Anarchy 2015

Another 2015 moment comes in and it’s the first Revolution Rules match between Crusher Craib and Damien. Following Damien costing Crusher the Undisputed title at the Regal Rumble, a Revolution Rules Match was soon signed for the Ballroom. In my opinion, it was match of the night. Chairs, kendo sticks, trash cans, even a fire extinguisher. Both men went through hell but it was Crusher Craib who came out on top. It was later revealed that he had suffered from a concussion as a result of competing in the contest. I wouldn’t say no to another Revolution Rules match.

3. Jack Jester Wins the Undisputed Title – Aberdeen Anarchy 2014

After winning the 2014 Regal Rumble, the match was signed. Jack Jester would challenge Crusher Craib for the Undisputed title at Aberdeen Anarchy. A match that could’ve gone either way, but it was Jester that eventually came out on top after a chair to the head and a Tombstone Piledriver. He did, of course, bring ringside assistant Thea into the mix as a distraction. I feel his reign could’ve been longer but with him not being a regular, it was a bit hard to achieve.

2. Bingo Ballance vs Stevie Xavier – Aberdeen Anarchy 2013

One of the greatest matches in WrestleZone history was between these two. It was a fantastic high-flying contest with Bingo coming out on top. Fans can relive this match by either purchasing the DVD at a show or on the online shop or by heading over to WrestleZone’s YouTube channel, where it’s part of the #FreeMatchFriday series. With the two due to clash again at this years Anarchy, will they be able to have an even better match?

1. Sterling Oil Reform – Aberdeen Anarchy 2015

My number 1 moment from the Aberdeen Anarchy events comes from last years event, which was my vert first Anarchy. After Scotty Swift defeated Joe Coffey for the Undisputed title, he was attacked by Damien and Alan Sterling. He was saved by the Thunder Buddies, only for William to clothesline Thunder. The three removed their hoodies to reveal Sterling Oil t-shirts. I left The Beach Ballroom utterly shocked, and remained the same for a few days.

Aberdeen Anarchy 2016 takes place in just under 2 weeks. Will there be any more moments to add to this list?
