Hello, and welcome to yet another edition of Adam’s Top 10. On this week’s installment, I bring to you my favourite entrance themes from around Scotland.
10. “Dogs of War” by AC/DC (The Rejected)
Number 10 is the Rejected’s theme, which is AC/DC’s “Dogs of War”. I assume the reason for choosing this theme was due to them previously being called the Dogs of War. It’s a good song in my opinion and it gives me the feeling that two ruthless competitors and their chain are away to enter. A great track for a great team.
9. “Alone” by Falling in Reverse (Ian Ambrose)
Coming in at number 9 is Falling in Reverse’s “Alone”, which is used by “The #Scumbag” Ian Ambrose. Another great song for one of Scotland’s fastest rising stars. Ian has been making his mark in SWE as one of their regulars. After having faced former NXT star Chris Hero this past Saturday, the future is only bright for this man. Hopefully he keeps using this song for the time being. It really suits him.
8. “99 Problems” by Hugo (Grado)
I’m sure everything’s heard of Grado, but you might’ve seen him “Like a Prayer” by The Hit Nation. As much as I like Grado and his character, I’m not a big fan of the song. However, the song he used at this year’s ICW Square Go was Hugo’s “99 Problems” was fantastic. I feel if he uses this song more often instead of just special occasions, then it’ll become popular with the wrestling communtiy, just like his usual theme.
7. “I Want it All” by Queen (Sterling Oil)
This is a great song. Simple as that. Sterling Oil out of Aberdeen are proving why they belong inside the ring. When they reformed last year, I was wondering if they would this song again. So when they did, I was happy. It gives you the impression that they really do want it all. They’ll get it all should they win their match on Saturday at Aberdeen Anarchy.
6. “Wish It Away” by Psyko Dalek (Drew Galloway)
When you speak of Scottish wrestling, Drew Galloway is a name that pops right up. Drew uses a song by Psyko Dalek, much like some of the other ICW stars, and it really suits him. I honestly didn’t think he would ever use it in TNA, but he has so props to TNA for allowing him to. I can’t think of song that would suit him any more than this one.
5. “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath (Joe Coffey)
Another name that pops up first is Joe Coffey. His nickname is “The Iron Man”, hence why he uses this tune. I really like the rhythm that this song has, and it makes it better when the crowd hum along to it. Joe has a bright future ahead with an ICW World title in July, and I hope this song keeps getting used for the next few years.
4. “Superhero” by Jane’s Addiction (Red Lightning)
Whenever this song plays, you know exactly who’s away to come through the curtain. That is ICW Majority Owner and Black Label member, Red Lightning. The song’s title, Superhero, wouldn’t really associate with this man as he mainly plays a villain character. But nevertheless, it’s still a cracking song.
3. “Revolution” by The Used (Damien)
Damien, who is based in WrestleZone, has been leading a one man revolution for a few years now, and the song suits him for that reason. To add to this, whenever he’s at a show that has video packages, the lights will flicker off and on and the video screen will stop working, all tying in to his character.
2. “Psycho” by Psyko Dalek (The New Age Kliq)
Coming in at number 2 is Psyko Dalek’s “Psycho”, which is used by the New Age Kliq. The song suits them, obviously, and gets you hyped for their arrival. You have to enjoy the NAK’s reckless behaviour and beating up everyone they can. The NAK will take over eventually, I can guarantee you that.
1. “Lights Go Out” by Fozzy (Lionheart)
Lionheart was given the go ahead to use Fozzy’s “Lights Go Out” by fellow professional wrestler Chris Jericho. The song really suits him and I thank Chris for allowing him to use it for making his entrance. Lionheart simply is One Bad Motherfu***r.
I apologise for this being so short but I didn’t have a lot of time. On next week’s edition, I will bring you my top 10 moments from Aberdeen Anarchy 2016, which takes place this Saturday.
