Aspen Faith is one of the youngest rising stars going in Scotland today. Having competed in WrestleZone for the past several years, Aspen is quickly proving his worth. But I feel that he is yet to reach the highest point in his career, which is why I’m here with this post. We’re going to take a look at how WrestleZone could book Aspen Faith on his road to winning the Undisputed title.

To start things off, Aspen is absent from Proving Grounds before returning to WrestleZone at Battle of the Nations in August. On this show, he teams with The Rejected duo of Chris Archer and Mikkey Vago and gets the pinfall victory over Blue Thunder, who was teaming with Jimbo Bannon and Cysto. Post match, he says that despite proving time and time again why he is one of the best wrestlers in the world, WrestleZone keep putting guys like Scotty Swift, Crusher Craib and Sterling Oil higher up the card. He ends his little rant by saying he was going to win the 2017 Regal Rumble.

Over the next few live events in Banchory, Keith, Brechin and Balmedie, Aspen faces off against the likes of Cysto, Super Executioner (who has now actually won a match) and Lord Mr Malice. Aspen, as predicted, defeats all of them. He cuts another promo after his win against Cysto in Balmedie, demanding better competition than what management were providing. As a result, he competes in a Handicap match the following week in Kincorth against the three men he beat. Despite coming that close to losing, Aspen managed to defeat the three wrestlers following Rolling Elbows for one and all. Aspen releases a video online, issuing an open challenge for Halloween Hijinx at the end of the month.

Aspen makes his entrance at the Inverurie Town Hall as he awaits his opponent. The challenge is answered by Jason Reed, who debuted at Proving Grounds. After a brutal back and forth encounter, Aspen scores the win following several elbows to the side of the head before locking in a Triangle Choke which makes Reed pass out. After the match, Aspen admits that he wasn’t expecting an opponent quite as tough as Jason Reed but nevertheless, he once again came out on the winning side. Faith ended this promo by saying that from this point until the Regal Rumble was going to be called the ‘Aspen Faith Road to Gold Series’. #Winner.

Aspen again emerges victorious in Huntly against Mr P and in Arbroath against Blue Thunder. Christmas Chaos rolls around in December and Aspen is facing off against Kaden Garrick. Despite showing he had what it takes to end the unpinned streak, Aspen failed to defeat Kaden following a spine-tingling Spear. As Kaden celebrated his win, Aspen attacked him after the match and locked in a kneebar. Referees and security managed to drag the King of Catch off and ordered him backstage. Aspen taunted and gloated that the Regal Rumble was only a few months away.

2017 starts with Summerhill Showdown, where Aspen is competing against Scotty Swift. Aspen just calls this match a stepping stone in his road to the title. Despite coming an inch away from victory, the Red Haired Warrior was unsuccessful in trying to stop the King of Catch. The main event saw Damien defending the Undisputed title against Johnny Lions, a match that Aspen decided to commentate on. Aspen joined Chris McDonald and Brian Stephenson at the commentary desk with many people questioning why. Damien managed to retain the title due to Sterling Oil shenanigans and was confronted after the match by Aspen. Aspen asked if that was the only way Damien could retain his title but before he could finish, he was blindsided by Shawn Johnson and the Sterling Brothers. The show ended with Sterling Oil standing tall over Aspen Faith.

At the next three live events (Montrose, Newtonhill and Peterhead), Aspen faced every member of Sterling Oil that wasn’t Damien, with the stipulation being he would recieve an Undisputed title shot at the Regal Rumble if he won all the matches. He defeated William in Montrose and Alan in Newtonhill but fell short to Shawn in Peterhead, meaning if he wanted a title match, he’d have to earn it. Damien taunted Aspen after the match, leading to Faith grabbing a mic. He told Damien that he was officially declaring his participation in the 2017 Regal Rumble match, and would also be entering at number 1 to prove his worth. Management’s Chris McDonald entered the ring and said Aspen would start the match with Shawn Johnson. Shawn and Damien left angered while Aspen followed behind with a smug look on his face.

The Regal Rumble came around and Faith and Johnson absolutely battered each other. Names such as Bryan Tucker, the Sterling Brothers, Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions all entered but the final four came down to Aspen, Shawn, Scotty and Johnny. Johnny was the first to go as Scotty accidentally clotheslined him out the ring after Shawn moved, followed by Shawn dumping Scotty to the floor. The match was down to the two that started it. Despite a distraction from Damien, Aspen Faith manages to toss Shawn Johnson out to the floor to secure his Aberdeen Anarchy main event spot. Aspen is presented with the Regal Rumble trophy but Damien clocks him from behind with the title belt before saying he’ll see him at Anarchy.

Before the big show however, Aspen has to compete at the live events in Fraserburgh, Westhill and Stonehaven. First up he defeats Lord Mr Malice in relatively quick fashion in Fraserburgh before defeating both Sterling Brothers in a Handicap match in Westhill. Aspen then competes in a six man tag match in Stonehaven where he teams with Scotty Swift and Bryan Tucker against the WrestleZone champion trio of Damien, William and Alan. Aspen gains the pin for his team following a Faith Buster on Alan. Stonehaven ends with Aspen standing tall over Alan Sterling while staring down his Aberdeen Anarchy opponent Damien.

So, Aberdeen Anarchy comes around, which I would have on May 20th, as Aspen Faith challenges Damien for the Undisputed WrestleZone title. The match is evenly contested with each man getting their bit of offense in. Damien’s manager Richard R. Russell distracts the referee as Shawn Johnson runs in from the crowd and cracks Aspen across the back with a steel chair. Damien makes the cover as the referee turns back around but Aspen just kicks out before the three count. Damien is in disbelief but soon starts chanting ‘off with his head’ as he prepares for a Superkick. Aspen manages to catch his foot and spins him around, nailing a vicious Rolling Elbow, knocking Damien to his knees. Aspen follows it up with another Rolling Elbow to the back of the head. The referee counts 1, 2, 3 and Aspen Faith is crowned new Undisputed WrestleZone champion. The referee goes to give Aspen the belt but Len Ironside insists on doing it himself. Len awards the title belt to Aspen as the two shake hands in a truce. The biggest show of the WrestleZone calendar goes off with an Aspen Faith celebration.

That is how I would book Aspen Faith getting his overdue run with the title. The reason for this, is because Aspen Faith is a #winner.
