So, I finally got round to watching night two of ICW Shug’s Hoose Party 4. Night one was about the huge matches, while night two was all about the stories. Would Polo Promotions be forced to part ways with each other? Who would be leaving ICW, Sha Samuels or Grado? Is Aaron Echo one of the most underrated talents in the world? By the end of the night, we would have our answers!

The show kicked off as usual, with Billy Kirkwood and William Grange hyping up the big matches before sending it down to “Champagne” Simon Cassidy for the introductions of the opening contest.

Jody Fleisch def. Aaron Echo by Pinfall.

The first match of the night saw “The Phoenix” Jody Fleisch taking on the winner of the inaugural Asylum Invitational, Aaron Echo. Fleisch came into the bout tired from his contest the previous night against former ECW star Super Crazy while Echo was coming in fresh having not competed on night one. The two kicked the action off fast and furious with several rollups attempted early on. As Aaron looked to regroup at ringside after an onslaught from The Phoenix, Jody dove onto him with a huge moonsault plancha, with his feet barely missing the steel cage hanging above the ring. Back inside the ring, Echo kicked Jody in the throat who retaliated with an innovative headscissors takedown. Fleisch headed out to the apron and springboarded off the ropes with his beautiful Phoenix DDT that was enough to put the PBW Academy graduate away for the three count. The pair shook hands after the match, showing respect after putting on a fantastic opening contest.

Before the next contest, Molly Spartan came down to the ring for an interview with Lionheart regarding his future in ICW. As The Dugfather came out, he dropped Molly on her back with a Rock Bottom. Lionheart went on to say that despite making himself a main event player, he saw other guys taking opportunities that he felt should’ve been given to him. This brought out ICW founder Mark Dallas, who said he would give Lionheart an opportunity at Fear & Loathing X on November 19th against the man that would appear on the video screens. That man would be none other than the longest-reigning ECW World Television Champion in history at a staggering 700 days, Rob Van Dam!

Wolfgang def. Super Crazy by Pinfall.

After that blockbuster announcement for The Hydro, the second contest saw WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament competitor Wolfgang going up against “The Insane Luchador” Super Crazy. Both men were in fantastic matches the night before, with Wolfgang unsuccessfully challenging Pete Dunne for the UK Championship in a Fatal Four Way Match while Crazy came up short in a high-flying contest against Jody Fleisch. The much larger Wolfgang used his size advantage to good use, swinging Super Crazy around like a rag doll. With The Regulator outside the ring, Crazy came over the ropes looking for a plancha but Wolfgang got out the way as Crazy landed on the floor. Back in the ring, Wolfgang failed an attempt at a moonsault before pulling out his trusty brass knuckles. Super Crazy dodged the first attempt at using them, before being clobbered across the jaw with a huge right hand from Wolfgang that allowed The Regulator to pick up the win. Despite using the cheap tactics to win, Wolfgang applauded Crazy’s effort after the match.

Open Challenge for the ICW Zero-G Championship
BT Gunn def. Kenny Williams (c) by Submission.

After winning the gold back from Zack Gibson in a Ladder Match the night before, Kenny Williams reintroduced the Zero-G Open Challenge for the Zero-G Championship. Answering the call would be a man who came up short in his quest for the WWE UK Championship the night before, “The Oddity” BT Gunn. The action kicked off quickly, just like in the first match, with BT dropping The Bollocks on his head with a TMNT brainbuster before cranking in a deep crossface. Luckily for Williams, he was able to get to the ropes in time to break the hold. The action spilled into the crowd after a suicide dive from Gunn, where Kenny dove off a barrier and wiped out Gunn with a huge cannonball. Not sure if Kenny intended for this to happen, but as he tossed Gunn over the rails and back to ringside, his jaw bashed off the apron. Intended or not, the champion took advantage as he dove off the top rope with a huge back elbow. As The Oddity came back into it, he nailed Williams with a brutal release German suplex but The Bollocks used the momentum to get into the ropes and nail the Clothesline from Hill Valley for a two count. Gunn regained control and locked the crossface in yet again. Instead of crawling to the ropes, Kenny reversed into a rollup for a two count before BT rolled him back into the hold, elbowing his injured shoulder in the process. Eventually, Kenny tapped out to make BT Gunn the first-ever Triple Crown winner in ICW history. The Bollocks personally awarded the title to The Oddity after the match, showing his respect to quite possibly ICW’s best wrestler at the moment.

Kiss My Arse Match
DCT & Adam Shame def. Davey Blaze & The Wee Man by Submission.

Up next was the culmination of one of ICW’s most personal grudges, as DCT and Adam Shame teamed up to face Davey Blaze and The Wee Man who entered in full Legion of Doom shoulder pads and face paint. The Wee Man got on the mic before the bell, saying that after he and Davey are victorious, Adam Shame’s son will be embarrassed by his loser of a dad and he’ll have to adopt him. This set off The Paisley Wrecking Machine, who scared Wee Man off into the crowd while DCT and Davey went at it in the ring. As Davey took care of The International Sex Hero in the ring, Shame was begging for a tag. Just as DCT was getting close to his tag partner, The Wee Man ran around and pulled Adam off the apron to force DCT to remain the legal man. Eventually, Adam Shame was tagged in as he delivered a big boot to The Scottish Savage followed with a Samoan drop, Blaze landing right on his hip. The Wee Man was also tagged in and he performed an impressive F5 on DCT. DCT and Davey were tagged back in not long after, with DCT locking in a figure four leglock. As The Wee Man entered looking to break it up, Shame locked him in a figure four aswell. As the two put all the pressure on their opponents’ legs, both Davey and Wee Man were forced to tap out which meant they had to kiss the behind’s of DCT and Adam Shame. The Wee Man was tied to the ropes as Davey looked to head for the hills. But appearing behind him was Adam Shame’s son, who low blowed The Buckfast Barbarian and smashed an Easter egg over his head. Davey was also tied to the ropes, before DCT and Adam Shame rubbed their asses in their faces. The two of them, along with Shame’s son, celebrated their victory after the match as they look on to new challenges in ICW.

Loser Leaves ICW Match
Sha Samuels def. Grado by Pinfall.

The first half main event saw the Loser Leaves ICW Match between former Pinky Party allies Sha Samuels and Grado, who was accompanied to the ring by his agent Red Lightning. Before the match, Grado got on the mic and kicked Lightning away from ringside, feeling as if he could defeat The East-End Butcher on his own. A brutal brawl followed between the former best friends, with Grado nailing a huge Roll N Slice in the corner. As the action spilled out to ringside, Grado sat Sha against the barricade and connected with a second Roll N Slice, with Sha’s head bashing off the barrier. Back inside the ring, Grado introduced a steel chair which he used to hit Samuels in the head only for Sha to no sell it and fight back. As Grado got back in control after two RGradO’s, he brought in a bag of thumbtacks. Before he could use them however, Sha countered into a huge death valley driver to drive Grado’s back into the tacks. Red Lightning came back out and took a chair away from Grado, tossing it towards Sha Samuels. Seeing his worst enemy with a weapon in hand, Grado tried to plead with Sha, even putting his pinky in the air in an attempt to reconcile. Having none of it, Sha smacked Grado straight across the skull with the chair before covering him for the three count. As soon as the bell rang, Samuels appeared to whisper something in Grado’s ear before heading through the curtain to allow Grado to soak in the applause in his final appearance for Insane Championship Wrestling.

Ravie Davie and Martina’s Scheme Wedding.

As we came back from the interval, Simon Cassidy and Billy Kirkwood were in the ring in preparation for the Scheme Wedding between Ravie Davie and Martina. Amongst those in attendance were ICW broadcast team members Jennifer Louise and Veronica Le Strange, Chris Toal, Kez Evans, Davie’s Govan Team partner Zander, Pure Gangster (minus Donnie T) and the minister Leyton Buzzard. As the ceremony got underway, Leyton asked if anyone had an objection to stop the wedding. Of course, one man did; ICW’s resident wedding gatecrasher and the newest signing to RUDO Sports and Entertainment Brand, “The King of All Evil” Bram. He destroyed everyone in sight, but when he went to piledrive Martina he was interrupted by Cav. As Cav looked to stop Bram, he was also taken down. Bram looked to be heading backstage, but Davie challenged him to a match to get revenge for his wedding being ruined.

Ravie Davie w/Martina def. Bram by Pinfall.

The challenge made by Ravie Davie may have been the biggest mistake of his life, as Bram absolutely dismantled the face of The Fresh Prince of Drumoyne Square with several vicious jabs to the head. Later on in the mugging, he spiked Davie into the mat with a piledriver before powerbombing Martina on top but Davie still kicked out. As Bram looked to continue his assault, Ravie Davie surprised him with a quick rollup for the shock win. Davie and Martina celebrated their marriage after the match with several of their wedding guests before bringing their party back through the curtain.

ICW Women’s Championship
Kasey (c) def. Kay Lee Ray by Pinfall.

Up next was a rematch from the night before as Kasey put her newly-won ICW Women’s Championship on the line against former champion Kay Lee Ray. After losing the gold in a record 42 seconds, The Queen of Hardcore performed a Killing Joke shining wizard, a suicide dive, a Gory Bomb and a second Killing Joke, which is all it took for Kasey to win the gold the night before but The Clown Princess of Carnage was able to kick out. As the match progressed, KLR looked for the Dirty Bomb on a number of occasions with Kasey always finding a way out. The Mae Young Classic would grab the Women’s Title belt from ringside, which she used to whack Kasey across the jaw but the champion still kicked out. As the two brawled up to the top rope, Kay Lee knocked Kasey off and looked set to hit the Swanton Bomb. But Kasey was able to dodge the aerial assault and drill KLR in the back of the head with a Killing Joke to hold on to her title as the referee counted to three.

All or Nothing Handicap Match
Polo Promotions (Jackie Polo & Mark Coffey) def. The Marauders (Mike Bird, Wild Boar & Iestyn Rees) by Pinfall.

The penultimate match of the night saw Polo Promotions challenging all three members of The Marauders in a 2 on 3 Handicap Match. Two stipulations were attached to the match;

If Polo Promotions were victorious, they would earn a future shot at the ICW Tag Team Championships.
However if The Marauders were victorious, Polo Promotions would be barred from teaming together in an ICW ring ever again.

As Simon Cassidy appeared to be introducing Polo Promotions’ third man, The Marauders ambushed them from behind. Having the numbers advantage, The Marauders kept the majority of the match in their corner of the ring, isolating Mark from Jackie. When Polo was finally tagged in, he came in like a house of fury and dropped Mike Bird with the first scoop slam of the match followed with a beautiful Shoulderbreaker. This set him up to lock in a crossface before transitioning into a Rings of Saturn. Bird looked ready to tap only for big Iestyn Rees to break it up. The Tag Team Champions were able to get back into, with a barrage of punishing strikes in the corner before they dropped Polo with a Mrs Paterson’s Revenge for a close two count. As referee Sean McLaughlin checked on Mark Coffey at ringside after he landed hard on the ramp, Bird and Boar nailed a second Mrs Paterson’s Revenge. With no referee, Stevie Hughes ran down to count the fall but stopped at two and gave the finger to The Marauders after he had been previously powerbombed by Rees. So of course, he was powerbombed for a second time. McLaughlin came back into the match, as The Marauders laid Polo Promotions faces across steel chairs. After Iestyn shoved Simon Cassidy out the way to grab a third chair, the ring announcer got in the ring to distract the unstoppable trio. DCT and Adam Shame were next in, but only served as a distraction to allow Kenny Williams to run in from the crowd to plant Rees with a huge diving elbow strike before taking everyone at ringside down with a dive through the ropes. Back in the ring, Coffey nailed Rees with a Red Forman forearm to the jaw before he and Polo nailed the Old Man of Hoy for the win. The Polos and their allies celebrated after the match, with the confirmation of Polo Promotions vs Bird and Boar for the Tag Team Titles in the near future.

As everyone from the previous match headed backstage, a hype package played on the screens in anticipation of the main event before the steel cage lowered.

Steel Cage Match for the ICW World Heavyweight Championship
Joe Coffey (c) w/Red Lightning def. Jack Jester by Escape.

Main event time, as Jack Jester challenged Red Lightning’s head client Joe Coffey for the ICW World Heavyweight Championship within the confines of a steel cage. Surprisingly, neither of these men had been in any of the previous cage matches in ICW. The match began with both men using the steel structure to their advantage, before heading up to the top rope. There, Jester pulled his trademark dildo out from the top of the cage which he used to knock Coffey back down to the ring. Seeing an opportunity, Jester decided not to escape the cage but instead dove off the top with a huge elbow drop. The two continued brawling, with Red Lightning coming in and out of the commentary booth. Later on in the bout, both men attempted to use each other’s finishers before Big Kink dropped The Iron King with a Discus Lariat. As he went for a second one, Coffey countered with a stiff headbutt before spiking Jester on his head with a Tombstone Piledriver. Jester, like Coffey did, countered a second one and dropped Joe with a Tombstone of his own. Jester ascended the steel cage before Bram ran down to the ring to prevent a new champion being crowned. Jester was forced back into the cage where he and Coffey continued going at it. Jack got the better of it and again started climbing while The King of All Evil began shaking the cage. Seeing that Jester had made it over the top, Bram trapped Jester’s in the cage as Joe Coffey climbed out to retain his title in controversial fashion.

What a jam-packed show this was. All eyes now look ahead to the big one, Fear & Loathing X on Sunday November 19th live from The Hydro. With WWE Hall of Fame inductee Kevin Nash signed as the guest commissioner and former WWE stars Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam scheduled to be in action, this is a show not to be missed!
