What Is The Disco Derby?

Discovery Wrestling recently announced a new event for January 2018, The Disco Derby. January 19th at The Jam House in Edinburgh is the date and location with one colossal match already announced:

A dream match in British wrestling. But there was one question floating about, ‘What Is The Disco Derby?’

Discovery Wrestling co-owner Alan Smith revealed all this evening in a special Facebook Live video.

On January 19th there will be a 20 person battle royal, every 90 seconds a new entrant will join the fracas. Over the top rules will follow until it’s down to two competitors. From there it will be a standard one on one match which can be won by pinfall or submission.

The added intrigue to this bout will be the competitors with debuts and returns to be expected. Alan already teased that they have been looking to the North East of Scotland, to England and beyond searching for new talent for the Discovery Wrestling roster.

The winner of The Disco Derby will join the regular Discovery Wrestling roster. Disco are also taking suggestions as to what the winner will also receive, could be a title opportunity in the future.

Names will be revealed in the coming weeks with plenty surprises in store.
