We are 4 weeks away from Aberdeen Anarchy 2018, taking place on September 1st at The Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen it’s the biggest night on the wrestling calendar in the North East. To celebrate we’ll be posting several articles on the lead up to the event with flashback reviews, lists and previews hyping up Aberdeen Anarchy.
We continue the countdown of the Top 10 moments in Aberdeen Anarchy history that took place at The Beach Ballroom with number 3, ‘The Red Haired Warrior’ reached the top of the mountain.
Scotty Swift on Top (2015)
After years of being the face of WrestleZone, Scotty Swift finally secured his place in the main event for the first time in The Beach Ballroom following a tense Regal Rumble.
He would face the reigning champion, ‘The Iron Man’ Joe Coffey. Coffey tried all he could, even faking an injury to try and pull Swift into a false sense of security. Coffey and Swift had a titanic battle, trading finishing moves and kick outs before a Granite City Driver finally put again Joe Coffey to the adulation of the crowd. Swift reached the top of the mountain in WrestleZone for the first time in 7 years.
Swift would go onto hold the title for 525 days but the night didn’t end well for ‘The Red Haired Warrior’ but we’ll get to that later in the countdown…
