With Aberdeen Anarchy X coming up next weekend, we’ll have a few interviews up on the site with some of the stars featured on the show.

Ahead of his high stakes eight man tag team match at the Beach Ballroom, Crusher Craib was kind enough to take the time to chat to us.

What was it that drew you in to professional wrestling?

The characters, people like Undertaker, Kane & Sting always caught my attention when I was a kid.

Who were your favourite wrestlers growing up, and who are your favourites today? Have any of them influenced your style of wrestling?

Undertaker, Sting, Vader, Kane & Bret Hart were my favourites when I was a kid, Undertaker, Kane & Vader have definitely influenced my style of wrestling. From today’s wrestling, my favourites would be Braun Strowman & AJ Styles.

Who have been your favourite opponents/matches so far?

My match with Big Damo from Halloween Hijinx 2013 will always be one of my favourites. My other favourite opponents that I’ve fought would be Damien, Jack Jester, Aspen Faith, Alan Sterling, Noam Dar, Lou King Sharp, Chris Archer & I’ve enjoyed my recent rivalry with Scotty Swift, I love beating up that red haired piece of scum!

2018 kicked off with a bang for yourself with a debut down at Discovery Wrestling. How much did you enjoy getting this sort of opportunity?

Yeah it was a lot of fun and I would definetly love to go back to Discovery Wrestling some day.

Are there any other promotions you’d like to work in outside of WrestleZone?

Yeah I’d love to work everywhere but with having two kids it’s hard to get that time but I’d like to go back to Discovery at some point.

Let’s get on to the subject of matter here, Aberdeen Anarchy. The 2016 instalment unfortunately saw you break your hip socket. Were you ever doubtful that you’d be able to wrestle again?

I knew I’d return but I started having doubts during the rehabilitation because it was tough and it made me start thinking maybe it’s time to just call it a day but nearer the time it started getting easier and before you knew it I returned to kick Scotty in the jaw and cost him the championship. 😂

You returned last June, rejoining Sterling Oil in the process. Would you say you enjoy working as a good guy or a bad guy, or does each have it’s good and bad parts?

I enjoy both but being a bad guy is much more easier and fun!

Ever since your comeback, you’ve had your sights set on Scotty Swift, How much have you enjoyed working with him this last year and a bit? From a fan’s perspective, it’s been quite a brutal few months!

Scotty Swift is a pig and I’ve enjoyed beating his ass every time we’ve stepped in the ring since I’ve returned.

This year’s Aberdeen Anarchy sees you in a high stakes eight man tag team match where if your team lose, Sterling Oil are forced to disband. What’s your strategy heading in to this match to ensure Sterling Oil remains intact?

Why on earth would I tell you my strategy? You do realise that Scotty Swift likes to stalk me? He’ll be reading all of this, I’m not giving anything away. All you need to know is that Sterling Oil will win!!

Heading towards September 1st, you’ve been doing a bit of charity work to raise funds for The Little Princess Trust. If you reach your goal, you’ve promised to shave your beard off for Aberdeen Anarchy. If you don’t mind me asking, is there a specific reason you chose this charity?

I have kids of my own and to think of them going through what these kids go through, having cancer, losing their hair, it’s heartbreaking and I couldn’t imagine how it would be as a parent having to see your kid go through all that.

Since sending Crusher these questions, his target of £400 has been reached and he will indeed be shaving his beard off for Aberdeen Anarchy.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I see myself and all of Sterling Oil holding all the championship belts in WrestleZone.

And lastly, where can fans find you on social media?
