Following the success of their previous Friends of ANCHOR charity show last May, WrestleZone return to Aberdeen’s Cairncry Community Centre on Saturday November 3rd for a second event in aid of the great cause. Management have announced a very special guest for the show. A man who played a big role in the early days of the promotion, a former WrestleZone Heavyweight Champion. Lionheart is coming back to Aberdeen. Chris McDonald and company now have the tough decision on choosing an opponent for him, with the WZ roster at an all-time high right now. Here’s my personal five picks to face The Dugfather!

Crusher Craib

With Sterling Oil disbanded, Crusher Craib can now reenter the other scenes in WrestleZone and i believe one of the first steps for that is a match with Lionheart. The Creator of Carnage has been one of the biggest names in WZ for some time now, capturing the Undisputed Championship twice and the Regal Rumble trophy on a record-breaking three separate occasions. Black Hole Slam vs Rock Bottom. Big Boot vs Superkick. It just sounds like it would be a class match.

Andy Wild

Andy Wild is the one name on this list (as of now at least) that has the opportunities to face Lionheart in other promotions aside from WrestleZone, the likes of ICW and PWE. Despite that, it could still be a good match and could also help in putting the leader of The Wild Boys back in to the Undisputed Championship picture. These two men are two of the biggest stars in the UK right now, and is a match that could attract more fans along to Aberdeen.

Damien

When Lionheart makes his return, he may be looking to capture championship gold so why not have him against the current Undisputed Champion, Damien? The Revolutionary is someone I feel would be a perfect addition to Lionheart’s PWE promotion, he just feels like he’d be someone to just blend in to the company. Lionheart is of course a former WrestleZone Heavyweight and No Limits Champion but he never held the current top title in WZ. Perhaps it’s time to change that…

Nathan North

Of course he’s on the list. Nathan North is undoubtedly one of the fastest rising stars in the UK just now, recently debuting for Discovery Wrestling and making a name for himself up here in WrestleZone. Facing off with Lionheart could put his name on to a bigger scale, with The Dugfather possibly able to pass North’s name on to promoters. The North Star started training at the Source Wrestling School over the last few months which has made his moveset a bit more vicious, with the likes of your dragon suplexes and brainbusters. It’s not the most classiest way to do it, but those would be moves to wear down Lionheart due to his neck issues.

Scotty Swift

Scotty Swift and Lionheart had a few battles in the very early days of WrestleZone, with Lionheart actually winning the Heavyweight Championship from Swift in October 2009. Seeing how far both men have come in their careers, it’s admirable. A rematch now nine years since that date would be interesting to see. One of the top names in WZ vs one of the top names in the entirety of the UK. Sounds good to me!

Who would you like to see face Lionheart when he makes his WrestleZone return?
