Never envisioned this past being written in January but here we are. This year’s Aberdeen Anarchy supershow has been moved forward by two months, taking place on April 13th from Aberdeen’s Beach Leisure Centre as opposed to the original date of June 1st. WrestleZone’s reasoning behind the date change? Their guest for the evening, PAC. A man who has travelled the world, collecting championship after championship. It appears he’ll be the only former WWE star for this year’s show, which I personally don’t have a problem with seeing as he is the actual physical PAC. I’m bloody excited!

Anyway though, management now have around three months to build a match card. Before they start throwing out match graphics left, right and centre, here’s five matches I can see happening at the biggest party of the spring!

Undisputed WrestleZone Championship
Damien (c) vs Jason Reed

I’ve been backing this as the Aberdeen Anarchy 2019 main event for a few weeks now, maybe even a month or two. Damien is the current Undisputed Champion as of writing, having recently fended off both Jack Jester and Krieger at Summerhill Showdown. Meanwhile, Jason Reed is on a mission to Make WrestleZone Great Again, which has included picking up victories over the likes of Scotty Swift, Bryan Tucker, and Shawn Johnson to name a few. Assuming the Regal Rumble is still before Aberdeen Anarchy (start of March anyone?), Reed is the only viable contender to win in my eyes. Thus, an Aberdeen Anarchy main event is created.

WrestleZone Tri-Counties Championship
Mr P (c) vs Crusher Craib

The Tri-Counties division is an interesting one right now, with Mr P on top and the likes of Zach Dynamite and Bradley Evans still vying to take the title back to their duo. Perhaps a wildcard pick in the division though is Crusher Craib. With a few unsuccessful attempts at capturing the Undisputed Championship for a third time, The Creator of Carnage is set to challenge P in Montrose in a Fatal Four Way Match. A P/Craib singles rivalry though sounds like all sorts of fun. Well, maybe not for Mr P. He’ll still be embracing the chaos either way though!

Triple Threat Street Fight for the WrestleZone Tag Team Championships
The Kings of Catch (Aspen Faith & Lewis Girvan) (c) vs Scotty Swift & Johnny Lions vs The Thunder Buddies (Blue Thunder & William Sterling)

Judging by happenings from Summerhill Showdown, this will be our Tag Team Championships match for the evening. The Kings of Catch are our champions, Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions are our fighting challengers, and The Thunder Buddies are our interfering duo. It was a chaotic ending to the title match at the Summerhill Hotel, with Blue Thunder and William Sterling taking out both duos. As a result, a stipulation such as a Street Fight would perhaps be the best fit. Plus, it makes a lot easier for the officials.

PAC vs Bingo Ballance

Now, on to the matter of choosing an opponent for PAC. You can read Billy’s Five Picks post to see who he’d like to face The Man That Gravity Forgot. I agree with him right off the bat – Bingo Ballance. Just think about it. The sort of match they could put on is a tantalising prospect to think about. Granted, they’ve squared off several years ago but they haven’t faced off at the current level both men are at. The WrestleZone audience have already seen what the Irishman is capable of against the likes of Stevie Xavier and Chavo Guerrero Jr. Please give him PAC. It’d be a match of the year contender for sure.

Andy Wild & The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago) vs Alan Sterling & The Outfit (Dino Del Monte & Ted O’Keefe)

Andy Wild and Alan Sterling are in a rivalry at the moment. The Rejected and The Outfit are also in a rivalry at the moment (it appears to be continuing considering the ending to their Summerhill Showdown bout). A big six man tag team match to put an end to the two of them at once. Whatever happens with the card, I’m 100% certain the situation with Wild and Sterling will come to an end here. Maybe get Caleb Valhalla in action? Who knows. For now, this is the match I see happening come April 13th.

What matches would you like to see take place at this year’s Aberdeen Anarchy?
