Former three time Insane Championship Wrestling Women’s World Champion Kay Lee Ray defeated Toni Storm to win her first WWE NXT UK Women’s Championship.
The Glaswegian daredevil, trained at the PBW Academy, pinned former champion Storm following a stun gun Gory Bomb along with a further Gory Bomb to win her first championship in World Wrestling Entertainment.
This marked Kay Lee Ray’s first NXT UK Takeover match, taking place in Cardiff.
The first ever Fierce Females Champion, Kay Lee Ray has held championships in Insane Championship Wrestling, Defiant Wrestling, Southside Wrestling Entertainment among others, along with being the ICW Queen of Insanity. She competed in the first WWE Mae Young Classic.
The third ever WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray becomes only the third Scottish born champion in WWE history following Drew McIntyre and current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross.
