On this edition, former Copenhagen Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Sebastian Day answers our questions.

What drew you into professional wrestling?

I think what got me intro professional wrestling was the way that the sport itself it’s so different compared to other sports, with way it’s presented on tv, to how wrestlers are able to play with fans feelings during promos, and matches, and with awesome the story’s that you just can’t get be seeing other sports like boxing or MMA. High flyers was also a big thing for me, seeing people my size doing the most insane things inside, and outside of the ring, that’s was what got me intro professional wrestling.

Who were your favourite wrestlers growing up and who are your favourites now?

When I began seeing wrestling in the beginning of 05, and my favourites was Rey Mysterio, Batista, and The Undertaker, as I just loved seeing Mysterio doing what I thought was the best high flying at that time, and Batista and The Undertaker was just awesome to see a young kid. Now is guys like Zack Gibson, James Drake, Zack Sabre Jr. and AJ Styles, simply because of the style they use, mostly the technical style which I really enjoy watching, as it’s shows that you don’t need to do big moves all the time too tell a great story in a match, and high flying again because it’s still amaze me how people are able the stuff they are able to do, and the team of Zack Gibson and James is probably the best tag team I have ever seen, and they are able to great singles matches.

What made you decide to start training to be a wrestler and where did you start?

I think it’s was just the very first moment that I saw pro wrestling that I knew I wanted to be a wrestler, it’s just caught me right away, and I still remember the very first show that I watch to this day. I started training wrestling when I was around 15 years old, pro wrestling wasn’t that big 10-15 years ago, and the only real place to train was with Danish Pro Wrestling, and that’s was to far back then for me to travel, but they made a school not too far away from where I lived, but it ended up sadly being a bad experience, with a lot of promises of opportunities that never came, so I stopped, and then Copenhagen Championship Wrestling was made by Copenhagen Hangman, I joined the school they had, and now 5-6 years later with hard work I’m one of the coaches of the school, and also the first CCW Champion.

Who are your biggest influences in professional wrestling, as a fan and as a wrestler?

Gotta say it’s guys like Jeff Hardy, CM Punk and Christopher Daniels, I don’t why but a lot of what I do in the ring as wrestler is based of they do, and as fan they showed me that you don’t need to be a big guy to make it in professional wrestling.

Who has been your favourite opponent(s) and do you have a favourite match?

Angèlico, Nitro Green and Carlos Zamora. Angèlico was an amazing opponent to face, sadly the match wasn’t the best mainly because I botched a springboard move, my favourite match is gonna be the only one I have had with Nitro Green, as it help me step up to a point I didn’t think I could do.

What has been your career highlight(s) so far?

When I became the first CCW Heavyweight Champion, just the thing of winning a title was big goal for me, then being very first one to win a championship I see as the biggest highlight in my short career, and then also get to face Angèlico like month after he signed with AEW was also an amazing highlight.

Who would be your dream opponent, past or present?

Tetsuya Naito.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I hope that I made it to the UK scene by that time on a regular basis, I also hope to be able to go to Japan and wrestle by that time.

I just love doing this, from the moment my music hits for my entrance, to be able to perform for maybe ten minutes in front a insane crowd is just the best feeling ever I think.
