On this edition, DPW Heavyweight Champion, Carlos Zamora answers our questions.

 

What drew you into professional wrestling?

Opportunity came in 2016 in a bootcamp. Three years later I’m at the top of Dansk Pro Wrestling as a champ.

Who were your favourite wrestlers growing up and who are your favourites now?

Vampiro in WCW.

What made you decide to start training to be a wrestler and where did you start?

I had always been a fan since the WCW days, so when I got a free tryout 2016 I debuted pretty quickly. To be exact, I debuted in ring after the five days I trained. Funny story… the coach at that bootcamp was Kay Jutler, we met again a few weeks ago in London at a WWE tryout.

Who are your biggest influences in professional wrestling, as a fan and as a wrestler?

I guess the biggest influence is probably [Kenny] Omega at this time. A dismissed trainee from WWE who made it in Japan. And he’s a funny guy as well.

Who has been your favourite opponent(s) and do you have a favourite match?

vs Jake Omen
vs Dan Evans

What has been your career highlight(s) so far?

My tryout for WWE UK in November and wrestling in the Philippines.

Who would be your dream opponent, past or present?

TJ Perkins in the Philippines (since we’re both half Filipinos), Kenny Omega, Vampiro and John Morrison.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Signed to a big company and living the dream. Not working a 9-5 job.
