It’s another battle of the wrestling schools as it’s Fife vs Glasgow as FPWA (Fife Pro Wrestling Asylum) takes on Glasgow’s Iron Girders!
This is a two-night special event, the first set of matches taking place at Truth Nightclub in Leven and Night Two taking place at the Wood Street Hall in the Dennistoun area of Glasgow.
Now I’m a born and bred Fife lassie as I was born and grew up in the Kingdom of Fife and raised not far from Leven – it’s where my stepfamily live. I go to Glasgow a lot for work and wrestling events, and I am going to both shows.
The card is absolutely stacked and the standard of talent that has come out of both schools has been amazing and this is showcasing their time to shine. This is another Old School vs New School battle with each member of the card making their debuts either in Leven or Glasgow shows depending on how you look at it and this is something that I have been looking forward to for months since before the show got announced.
I’ll be honest, as I’ve been to FPWA and Iron Girders shows a lot over the past few years, normally I am good at this, but this another one of those times where as I genuinely like a lot of the talent that comes from both promotions, I can’t call who could potentially win what matches (though I have said recently who I think will win). I saw the graphics go up and my first thought was “I can’t pick a side as they are all too good.” So, I have to remain impartial – which is going to be a struggle (as I’m quite evenly split between the two schools).
Whatever the outcome of these matches on Night One, it could have major implications on Night Two.
So let’s take a look at the card for Night One.

Frank Gallo & The Big Lads (John Kerr & Craig Berry) vs Leon Graves & Arcade Violence (Jake Lawless & Brody Turnbull)
Arcade Violence (Jake Lawless and Brody Turnbull) are one of the brightest tag team wrestlers that have been making waves at Iron Girders, ICW and recently Pro2. Now these two have an appetite for causing chaos, especially during matches. I’ve seen Arcade Violence appear at FPWA shows in the past and they have been seen watching their competitors of FPWA very closely and they are bringing Leon Graves with them!
In a recent promo package, Arcade Violence have said: “There is not a more ironically named town in Scotland than “Leven Fife” because as soon as you arrive, all you’ll want to be doing is “leaving Fife.” And even went onto say “is it unfortunate [they] have to travel to some “rinky dink town” on the inferior side of the country. Yes, [they] show up and will take the job seriously and [they] will get it done, because that is what they do and for all of Fife’s shortcomings and there are many (whatever the hell that was supposed to mean!) the FPWA is not one of them. They are well aware of the river of talent that runs through that entire FPWA roster. But John Kerr, Craig Berry and Frank Gallo, your river is about to be infested with West Coast Piranha!”
Leon Graves is also another Iron Girders regular and a new name to FPWA and has recently debuted at ICW. The last time, Graves and Gallo were in an Iron Girders ring together, they each came to their aid of their wrestling school associates when a match between The Par and Arcade Violence ended a brawl what resulted in NXT star, and Coach, Wolfgang stepping in to divide the brawling schools.
The Big Lads, John Kerr and Craig Berry, who have been making a massive impact at FCW and are grabbing this opportunity by taking on Arcade Violence and Leon Graves and they have developed a taste for Piranha.
Frank Gallo has been making an impact most recently at Discovery Wrestling and has been described as a worksmith and is very believable. He can back it up wrestling wise and he gets a massive pop in Leven – his hometown – when his music hits (a bit like Steve Austin’s entrance). Gallo is crazy when it comes to his opponents and he can find that something in his opponents and get inside their heads. Can he get inside the heads of both Arcade Violence and Leon Graves and drive them insane before they even get to Night Two?

Ashley Vega vs Molly Spartan
This will be a show stealer as it’s a battle of the fierce females as Ashley Vega takes on “The Beautiful Bruiser” Molly Spartan.
Ashley Vega had been wrestling since 2016 and has since then wrestled for Discovery, CPW, Pro2, Wrestle Carnival and various other promotions.
Ashley is going against one of the best female wrestlers that Scotland has to offer in Molly Spartan and 2023 will be her time. The last time Ashley wrestled for FPWA, she was the only woman in the Fatal Fife Way, but unfortunately, she was unsuccessful. Can she pick up her first win against Molly Spartan?
Molly is a much respected and well-travelled wrestler, a former ICW Woman’s World Champion and a former multiple tag team champion alongside her tag team partner Kasey Owens. Over the years, Molly has accomplished winning FIVE titles, including the ACME Comic Con Interpromotional Championship, and is also the current TNT Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Molly also broke the internet when she nearly choked out Rhio over the balcony at The Garage at ICW’s Square Go. So can you imagine what she could do to Ashley…
Whatever happens, I know ONE thing and that is Molly is gonna teach Ashley one particular lesson that Molly teaches all her opponents and it is to know… her… place!
Or could Ashley do the unthinkable and somehow manage to defeat the Gallus SheWolf?!

Johnny Lions vs Eddie Castle
It’s Johnny Time! as The Tenacious Johnny Lions takes on the Lion Eddie Castle.
Johnny is a veteran in this business having began his wrestling career in 2005 and is a technical wrestler with 18 years behind him and has held NINE titles throughout the years and has put on his wrestling boots once again to take on Castle.
Eddie Castle has 8 years experience having began his wrestling career in 2015 as being among the first graduates at GPWA and he was the first ACME Comic Con winner last year.
Now Johnny has said that FPWA is HIS castle and has been in this business for nearly 20 years and FPWA means everything to him, so much so that Johnny is not only fighting for the pride of Fife, but the pride of Johnny Lions, and that if he loses this match, he’s done, but with a win he’s got one more run in him.
Is it Johnny time if he performs his famous Lion Cutter on Castle or will the hungry young lion be the one who is feasting on the bones of the veteran if he is successful?

Jason Reed vs Kez Evans
It’s a clash of styles as the Staunch Superstar Jason Reed takes on the dastardly Kez Evans.
Jason Reed has been wrestling since 2015 and with 8 years’ experience under his belt has wrestled all over the world and held at least FIVE titles over the years and right now is also the current, reigning and defending ICW Zero-G Champion which he recently won at ICW ‘Get The F Out’ in a four way scramble match and grabbed the pinfall within the last few seconds of the match – a title which Kez has previously held.
Kez Evans has also been wrestling since 2015 and also has 8 years’ experience under his belt as well, is a former ICW Zero-G Champion and a former ICW Heavyweight Champion and is no stranger to title matches having just missed out on his shot against the TNA Impact star Josh Alexander at SOVPRO back in February of this year. Evans is also no stranger to pain having taken part in a “fans bring the weapons” match and his faced the likes of BT Gunn and NXT’s Ilja Dragunov.
This is another one of these matches where I genuinely can’t call a winner here as you cannot deny how talented both these guys are in the ring and both men will try every trick in the book to get that big win. Both Jason and Kez have NEVER faced each other in one-on-one singles action. Kez goes by the whole “everything I say, I do!” mantra, but will he have bitten off more than he can chew with Jason or will this be just a simple warm up before his big title match against Andy Roberts on Night Two?

UEWA European Heavyweight Championship – Andy Roberts (c) vs BT Gunn
It’s Coach vs Coach as Coach Roberts takes on Coach Gunn for the UEWA Heavyweight Championship!
Andy has held the UEWA Heavyweight Championship now for a grand total of 4 years and over 1,403 days and counting having won the title back in 2019 having defended the title at various promotions and most recently against Doug Williams.
But this is a different Andy Roberts and as he is fresh of his ICW Heavyweight Title Match at ICW ‘Get The F Out’ against Damo and Leyton Buzzard (whom Andy has faced in a 60 minute Iron Man match), Andy will probably be looking to let off some steam. This will also be Andy’s 19th title defence!
BT Gunn, on the other hand, has been the reigning and defending BCW Champion for a grand total of 7 years 2,594 days and over since winning the title back in 2016, is the reigning RCW Champion for a grand total of 2,187 days since winning the belt in 2017, and a former King of Insanity. Last time BT faced Andy WILD, but this is Andy ROBERTS and this is a totally different person that BT is gonna face.
I don’t know how this one is going to go as either coach could win. Personally, as this is Night One, and this is just my opinion, I can see involvement from both schools here trying to sabotage each coach’s chances or this could be a clean fair fight as both men are well travelled and much respected coaches and are veterans in this business.
Or as they say in wrestling “Card Subject to Change!”
Whatever happens during this match could totally change the card for Night Two…
Part two coming soon
