It is with solemn regret that Pro2 Wrestling must inform fans that Jake Lawless, one half of Arcade Violence, has been forced to withdraw from his Pro2 Tag Team Championship bout at Battle Lines due to requiring surgery. In a statement from Lawless, as released on the official Pro2 Wrestling Facebook page, he said:

“I’m gutted to let the AV fans down, the Pro2 fans, and more importantly the people of Ayrshire. Any procedure you have needs time to heel and, unfortunately, due to cancellations and schedules of the surgery, I have had to pull out of the show. We wanted to give the fans a real tag team to represent the Pro2 tag team division, and The Alliance have gotten off easy this time round. But, fear not – we are coming and we want that gold!”

Pro2 management have also released a statement on the fate of the tag team championship bout, declaring that they will have a Wild Card tag team for the champs. The Alliance have not made a statement thus far.

Not only that, but they have also announced a Wild Card singles opponents for Brody Turnbull, thus creating a seventh match for the show. Pro2 management didn’t feel that it was right to leave Turnbull off of the show and will be doing everything possible to find an opponent for him. Turnbull, via the Pro2 Wrestling Facebook page, said:

“It’s not great that we’ve been forced to pull out as a team, but after a discussion, we decided that I would still perform for the great fans of Ayrshire, albeit in a singles match. But, rest assured, the AV Club will be coming for the Alliance and we will be taking the titles!”

Pro2 Wrestling wishes Jake Lawless a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
