3. Thatcher Wright
In third place this year is possibly a surprise but after looking through the 12 month judging period it really shouldn’t be, Thatcher Wright.
Starting the period in the final of the Iron Girders Pro Wrestling Championship tournament, Wright lost out to Levi in a heated encounter.
Thatcher won a two night tournament in May, defeating Ravie Davie in the final to become the inaugural Community Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, ending his reign with 11 recorded successful defences with challengers including Simon Miller, Zander, Meyhem Brooks, SBX, and Daro.
At ‘Govanniversary’ Night Two in November, the crowd erupted when Ravie Davie was finally able to pin Thatcher to the mat at become the new champion.
Appearing at seven of our featured promotions, Wright retained the CPW Heavyweight Championship at Attitude Pro Wrestling‘s ‘RuggySlam’ against The Wanderer, though lost the match by disqualification, and matches at Insane Championship Wrestling and Blockbuster Pro Wrestling throughout the year.
Elsewhere saw Thatcher make friends in SovPro Wrestling along with Charles Douglas as The Wright Way.
