In just over two weeks time WWE head to Glasgow for Clash At The Castle. There’s been a lot of discourse about the price of tickets, the size of the venue, the timing with the Euros starting that week, but forget about all that for a moment when there’s the potential to load a WWE Premium Live Event with so many active Scottish WWE Superstars.

How would the card look? Let’s speculate.

World Heavyweight Championship – Damien Priest (c) vs Drew McIntyre

We know this one is happening, the first match confirmed for Clash At The Castle, brewing since WrestleMania after Damien Priest cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase. It was officially confirmed on ‘King and Queen of the Ring’ by Triple H that this match was happening following McIntyre being cleared to compete.

After losing to Roman Reigns at ‘Clash At The Castle’ in Wales back in 2022 and having the World Heavyweight Championship for minutes at Wrestlemania before getting overzealous with his hatred for CM Punk that ultimately cost him the title. It looks like it’s all but guaranteed to see Drew McIntyre regain the title in front of his people as the OVO Hydro shakes with the roar.

Looking at the match, if Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh are there to help the current World Heavyweight Champion what if we get Wolfgang, Joe Coffey, and Mark Coffey from Gallus out to neutralise The Judgement Day?

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill (c) vs Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn

Maybe a little bit last minute with Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn not being featured that prominently on TV at the moment for whatever reason, but to have a show in Glasgow without the longest reigning NXT UK Women’s Champion, and one of the best to be produced by this country, in Alba Fyre would be disappointing.

Coming in against one of the most exciting tag teams recently formed in WWE would be a tough task but I would be interested to see how the crowd welcome Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill when they come up against the hometown stars.

WWE Women’s Championship – Bayley (c) vs Piper Niven w/Chelsea Green

It looks like Piper Niven is directing some anger towards Bayley recently on Smackdown, it’s only natural to put two and two together and think that Niven is next in line to face the WWE Women’s Champion. Piper has won women’s titles in Glasgow before, having had so much history in the city during her formative days.

Piper is 0-3 at the Hydro, all of which being in women’s championship matches for Insane Championship Wrestling, to return fighting for a WWE Women’s Championship would be testament to the work that she has put in to get into that position.

On a personal note, to think about Piper potentially fighting for a WWE Women’s Championship, five years to the week of the passing of a Scottish wrestling legend, and a well documented close friend of Piper, Adrian ‘Lionheart‘ McCallum would be a beautiful moment for her, and for Scottish wrestling as a whole.

WWE Intercontinental Championship – Sami Zayn (c) vs Joe Hendry

Chad Gable looks to still be in the mind of Sami Zayn but for Clash At The Castle, in my mind, he is looking to offer an open challenge his WWE Intercontinental Championship. The open challenge being the thing that catapulted Sami Zayn into the WWE Universe when he gutted it out against John Cena in 2015.

With TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace scheduled to compete at NXT Battleground against NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, could Sami Zayn list a bunch of potential UK names, Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Grado, until his name is said and Joe Hendry appears.

Nothing seems to be off limits in WWE nowadays, could the OVO Hydro be believing in chart topper, and current TNA star, Joe Hendry?

WWE Undisputed Universal Championship – Cody Rhodes (c) vs Noam Dar

Okay this one might be the longest shot, former multi-time NXT Heritage Cup holder Noam Dar taking on the current WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Cody Rhodes may be a wild match to throw into the ether. “Dar wasn’t drafted to the main roster” I hear you say! Shush.

When Dar made his initial main roster WWE debut at the OVO Hydro following his showing in the Cruiserweight Classic. Imagine him returning back to Glasgow fighting over the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship, it would be incredible as a moment. The match would be a banger as well.

Putting the match aside for a moment, is this the time we see the long rumoured Wyatt6 featuring Nikki Cross?

Of course, WWE will also be in Glasgow for Smackdown the night before so maybe some of these will happen then… maybe none of them.

Obviously a Grado appearance somewhere on one of the nights, a man that defeated the then Drew Galloway for the ICW World Heavyweight Championship in Glasgow, would be nice. He doesn’t like talking about it though.
