Tonight is the night history is made in Fair City Wrestling when the third annual Fair City Rumble takes place. Previous winners Euan G Mackie and Dickie Divers cashed in their Game Changer briefcase to become FCW Heavyweight Champion. The Game Changer title shot has yielded a 100% success rate with the first female winner of the case, Brodie Adler, also cashing in successfully.

We got a preview of the main event at ArdlerMania: Part Deux via the Hot Shot Gauntlet but tonight 30 wrestlers enter and there will be a new owner of the Game Changer case.

Let’s throw out our five picks!

The aforementioned Hot Shot Gauntlet was won by veteran Retro Randy Valentine, launching Rich Money over the top rope and crashing to the floor. After consulting his conscious council, he ultimately choose to enter at the middle of the pack at number 15. He had the opportunity to enter last but wouldn’t that make life a little too easy?

A former FCW Tag Team Champion, made his triumphant return to pro wrestling via the Fair City Rumble in 2022. This could be third time lucky for the Renegade of RetroMania.

Patryk Peterski’s legacy in Fair City Wrestling would live forever if he managed to outlast the other 29 competitors, little by little he has worked his way into the hearts of the fair city faithful but some might say his master plan is to get his hands on Marcus “The Glory” Hunter. The luck of the draw could leave him half the world away from that goal though so he’ll just have to roll with it.

He can’t let the opportunity slide away, and all that frustration with his current quest for Marcus “The Glory” Hunter, he’ll have to go let it out on the other 28 combatants.

Making his mark at ArdlerMania: Part Deux, Fulton King returned in a foul mood. He left in an even worse mood, losing to Patryk Peterski then being scammed by Marcus “The Glory” Hunter. So not only will Peterski be looking to get his hands on Hunter, he also has a juggernaut on his tail.

King competes earlier in the evening and the result will either see a confident Fulton King or a pissed off monster ready to throw body after body after body over the top rope.

The interest here is that both members of Legends Never Die have been confirmed for the Fair City Rumble with Sami Sparx making his FCW debut. We could see a LND final two if they get rocking and rolling together. Who’s to say the winner of the briefcase takes their shot at the FCW Heavyweight Championship with Legends Never Die on the quest for their first piece of tag team gold.

The current DAPW Champion had a stellar run in the Hot Shot Gauntlet with the most eliminations.

He will be in action earlier in the night teaming with FCW Women’s Champion Brodie Adler against Fulton King and Moxie Malone. Jay Robin doesn’t like doing anything the easy way and even with no title on the line you can be sure he will put maximum effort into the bout.

He will have to summon every ounce of energy, but if anyone could in Fair City Wrestling and survive it’s Jay Robin.

The niggling thought in the back of my mind is that we will see Marcus “The Glory” Hunter holding the Game Changer briefcase up high at the end of the night in the Tulloch Institute in Perth. He has so many enemies walking in, from recently Patryk Peterski, Fulton King, to historical enemies like Retro Randy Valentine.

There are plenty of unknown names as of writing with DE surely looking to get a spot or two, Hunter has plenty of history with Sebastian Asher, and Spike Tierney.

But the nagging vision remains, Marcus “The Glory” Hunter by hook or by crook will have his hands over that briefcase.
