It’s the fallout from the Fair City Rumble. The repercussions of ArdlerMania are still lingering as Fair City Wrestling light up the Empire Zone in Perth.

JD Wilde w/Ian Ambrose defeated Shaun Faegan by pinfall.

The Scum Bucks reunion was in full swing and there were shenanigans afoot as Ambrose wanted tagged in to face the titan but was sent to the back by referee Sean Moran.

Despite an initial flurry, Faegan hammered Wilde into his preferred tempo and that was methodical and hard hitting. Torturing JD with suplexes and boots. Spiking Wilde, who was perched on the top turnbuckle, from the second rope for a carrying back suplex.

Wilde managed to gather some momentum, a clothesline in the corner. Trying to keep Faegan down with a Finlay Roll followed by a top rope Moonsault but it was only a near fall.

An errant spray of mist into the face of Moran led to Ambrose trying to get involved but he also felt a misplaced spray of mist by JD Wilde. All of that led to Wilde still managing to hit Shaun Faegan with a TKO and get the win.

A mighty fine opening match. The Scum Bucks act can get a bit meta with some parts being head scratching. Unpredictable is a good way to describe Wilde and Ambrose when they get together. Faegan looked good, there are a few big brutes in Fair City Wrestling right now with Shaun Faegan putting some solid work to get eyes on him.

Patryk Peterski stormed out with a chair to monologue about the current Marcus “The Glory” Hunter situation. He called Hunter a coward, daring him to fight Peterski. The lights went out and a video played of El Tremendo attacking Stan The Slav, when the lights came back up Marcus “The Glory” Hunter was in the ring, attacking Patryk with the very chair he brought to the ring. Ohhh when the time comes the Empire Zone is going to very much enjoy Hunter get his comeuppance.

Luke Matthews defeated Retro Randy Valentine by pinfall.

Matthews started hot with a running knee to Retro Randy before the bell. The adrenaline boost from the attack powered up the vitamins and prayers as Valentine fired back.

A missed elbow drop gave Luke Matthews the opening he needed to regain control. Randy tried to get a little momentum but was dropped with a kick to the face.

A pop up knee to the skull to Valentine seemed to unlocked some Retro Rage with haymakers, a big boot, and Leg Drop of Dooom but it could only get a two count.

Randy scaled to the top rope but Matthews rolled out, returning with the Game Changer briefcase. Sean Moran was knocked down in the scuffle, Matthews attempted to use the case but Valentine booted it back into the chest of Luke Matthews.

Valentine considered using the case himself but decided against it, the hesitation was enough for Matthews to Claymore Randy to get the win.

A shock win for Luke Matthews, considering the huge victory Valentine had at Fair City Rumble, a loss on the very next show might put his Game Changer plans on the back burner for a second. Another good match, the FCW crowd love them some Retro Randy Valentine.

If I had a nickel for every big, bald, and bearded, fella beats up a fan favourite I’d have two nickels… I’d love a Faegan-Matthews link up. Like the Mitchell brothers of Scottish wrestling, just going around battering folk, who wants to be Peggy?

Game Changer – Four Way Elimination Match – Moxie Malone defeated Kate Calloway, Ellie Armstrong, and Eden to win the Game Changer Briefcase.

Moxie immediately threw out late comer Eden with Ellie Armstrong doing the same, neither happy about the match being changed at the last second.

Armstrong and Moxie tried to strong arm Calloway but were on the receiving end of a double clothesline. The duo reset and managed to get some tandem offense but Calloway muscled her way back into control with a Fallaway Slam to Malone.

A Fallaway Slam attempt to Armstrong was fought out of with Ellie hitting a nice pumphandle side slam to eliminate Kate Calloway. Armstrong wasn’t around for long afterwards with Eden returning to the ring and rolling up Ellie to send her packing.

It was down to two, Moxie bullied Eden as the crowd grew in support for her. Malone was relentless, but Eden dodged a corner charge to strike with a handspring back elbow.

A primal scream sent Malone on the back foot and prime for a Codebreaker for a near fall. Eden followed up with a Twisted Bliss but it still wasn’t enough to keep The Misfit down.

Moxie wasn’t to be denied, despite a valiant effort, a Killswitch sealed the Game Changer briefcase into her possession.

But Malone wasn’t done, while staring a hole into Brodie Adler, she delivered a second Killswitch to Eden.

A fun main event. It was clear there was some trepidation from Eden with her movements coming with some hesitation, but the FCW ground gave her plenty of support against Moxie throughout the closing moments. It’s early days and there is definitely some potential in her though and time in front of a crowd will see those fears shedded in short order.

The Brodie-Moxie feud continues with Moxie now with all the cards. Holding the very tool that Brodie used to become FCW Women’s Champion and gaining some redemption from just missing out on winning last year due to Adler. Could 2025 be the year of The Misfit in Fair City Wrestling?
