Joe Hendry has defeated Nic Nemeth in the main event of TNA ‘Genesis’ to be crowned the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

It wasn’t without shenanigans with John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield giving Call Your Shot holder Frankie Kazarian a Clothesline From Hell, and taking out Ryan Nemeth.

Hendry joins a prestigious legacy, making him the second Scottish TNA World Heavyweight Champion after Drew Galloway, and joins such names as Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Sting, AJ Styles, and Jeff Hardy.

A former Discovery Wrestling Y Division Champion and WhatCulture Pro Wrestling Champion, Joe Hendry became a viral sensation in 2024 through his work in Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling and appearances in WWE NXT.

After narrowly missing out on the title at ‘Final Resolution’ in December, Joe Hendry made the most of his opportunity, defeating Nic Nemeth to lift the gold.

Debuting in October 2013 for Scottish Wrestling Alliance, Hendry has worked relentlessly to make his journey undeniable, from WhatCulture Pro Wrestling to Defiant Wrestling, 5 Star Wrestling, World of Sport Wrestling, Ring of Honor, representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games, facing Kurt Angle and competing around the world.

The former Laird of the Ring, is now the King of the TNA mountain.

We believe in Joe Hendry.

Joe Hendry will be returning to Scotland on March 9th to celebrate 10 years of Discovery Wrestling. Tickets are available now.
