As part of the Working Man’s Wrestling tour, World Wide Wrestling League have put up the second special on their W3L Network YouTube channel after the first event on the tour, ‘Funky Like A Monkey’, went on Demand PROGRESS Plus a couple weeks ago.

TJ Rage defeated The Tormentor w/The Jackal by pinfall.

The Jackal caused a distraction for The Tormentor to jump TJ Rage as the bell rang but the advantage lasted all but a few seconds as Rage burst out the corner with a clothesline and threw Tormentor over his head.

The Commune numbers continued with The Jackal stopped a spear by grabbing the leg of Rage. Tormentor tried to take control but was soon victim to a spear for TJ who placed his foot on the chest of The Tormentor for the easy win.

A post-match attack by The Jackal and The Tormentor lead to Sami Sparx rushing out to make the save.

It was quick and painless. Leading well into the next match.

The Jackal defeated Sami Sparx by pinfall.

Sparx started hot, bringing the fight to The Jackal to send him taking a break on the outside. Jackal tried to sucker Sparx into a trap but his attempt to cut off Sami’s return to the ring was dodged.

A big clothesline to a running Sami Sparx gave The Jackal the opening to slow the pace down. Throwing him hard into the corner with an Irish Whip. Sparx tried an enziguri but missed the target but a lariat gave Sparx a moment to regroup.

The Jackal once again found himself on top, playing with his dinner as he slowly dismantled Sami Sparx with punches, chokes, and slams.

Sami was able to connect with a DDT but it was only good for a near fall but the momentum swung to The Chaotic Luchador, ramming his knee into the skull of The Jackal for another two count. It was all Sami Sparx with a 619 but before he could get the pin Lou King Sharp marched out with a Singapore cane.

The distraction was enough for The Jackal to strike with a low blow and STO to pick up the victory.

The Commune attempted a sacrifice post-match but TJ Rage, then Irn Dru Marshall, entered the fray to make the save.

A hot opening segment between the two matches. The Kelty crowd were going mad for both. Rage-Tormentor wasn’t anything to write home about but it being paired with the second match made it worth having on.

Triple Threat – Taylor Bryden defeated Sebastian Day, and Rory Shaw by pinfall.

Sebastian Day had some choice words for the crowd and opponents before making a hasty exit just after the bell rang to leave Bryden and Shaw to go at it.

Shaw stood strong when Taylor Bryden tried to knock the big man off his feet but a stomp to the foot and dropkick to the knee cut The Heavy Artillery down to size.

Day tried to insert himself back in but was knocked off the apron by Bryden which earned him a back suplex from Rory Shaw.

As all three got back into the action, Shaw continued his show of power with Bryden having to pick up the energy to send his opponents to the outside and flying over the ropes with a slingshot dive.

A couple low blows from Sebastian Day had the Dane in charge of the match, but a second rope crossbody attempt saw him smash his head off the low ceiling to leave Shaw and Bryden stunned for a moment before they bundled Day out of the ring.

Bryden got the upper hand over Rory Shaw with the exchange of punches, grabbing a returning Sebastian Day to plant him on top of Shaw with a Tier Zero and nabbing the pinfall.

Heavy on the action, Day mocking everyone’s height before the bell before knocking himself stupid by misjudging his dive off the rope to see what was above the ceiling tiles was hilarious. The in-ring was a lot of fun, Rory Shaw still looks a little unsure in his feet at times but certainly a solid performance from all three.

Hera defeated Brodie Adler by pinfall.

After answering the Dynamite’s open challenge, Adler grabbed the hair of Hera to counter the opening lock up as it looked like she was about to be overpowered by The Goddess.

Hera knocked Adler on her arse with a shoulder block but her basking in the moment allowed Brodie to send Hera into the second rope to find herself feeling the force of that arse across the shoulder blades.

It boiled down to a slugfest with forearms being thrown. A Nightmare on Helms Street from Brodie couldn’t keep Hera down who fired back with a snappy sidewalk slam for two.

The Goddess lifted Brodie Adler up into a fireman’s carry position and hitting a Samoan Drop for the win.

It might not have been pretty in moments but it was a decent debut for Hera who displayed her power effectively against the former W3L Women’s Champion who had been bullying her opponents as of late, so the comeuppance was sweet.

W3L Wrestling Showdown Championship – Last Man Standing Match – Irn Dru Marshall defeated Lou King Sharp to retain.

Both men started off with a Singapore cane but Marshall’s was snapped it half over the back of Lou King Sharp. Sharp introduced a chair to drive into the stomach of Irn Dru, who proceeded to get one of his own to clash metal.

The match went to the outside, Sharp was slammed onto the wooden floor as Irn Dru proceeded to drop The Blood Tourist over the knee of an elder woman who gave Lou a good spanking for his sins.

Sharp grabbed anything and everything to smack about Irn Dru who weathered the assault to grab Sharp and throw him through the fire escape and fight outside the venue.

The scrap continued to the front door back to the ring as Sharp gave Dru a one man con-chair-to but Marshall eventually rolled to the outside to get back to his feet.

Lou then took aim at the ankles, slamming a chair off the joint for a nine count but no sooner was he up, Sharp smashed the chair off the back of Marshall. Sharp went to the top turnbuckle but found himself the perfect target for a launched chair to the skull to send him tumbling.

Irn Dru produced a five foot Singapore cane from under the ring and whipped the life out of Sharp. The Tormentor and The Jackal arrived to assist but Sami Sparx and TJ Rage were soon giving chase.

Sharp still held control after an errant headbutt saw Dru smash his head off the ring post. Just as it looked to be Lou King Sharp’s for the taking, Marshall hoisted Lou up onto his shoulders and crash into a propped plasterboard with Death Valley Driver to keep Lou down for the ten count.

An absolutely chaotic main event, some weapon based plunder, a fight on the streets, attempted interference, attempted murder, a little bit of everything, which I bloody enjoyed.

Irn Dru announced that he would face The Commune in Buckhaven and his tag team partner would be Judge Jimmie James.

A cracking little 80 minute special from W3L who have been hitting their stride recently. It might not be technically proficient from a pure wrestling standpoint but the crowds champ for the stories, the black and white nature of good and evil that is told by wrestlers more than capable of translating it into action. The mayhem of the main event that also provided a callback to earlier events on the show was very entertaining. It managed to both advance stories but also have a standalone event for first time attendees.
