The final part of Dundee & Angus Pro Wrestling’s June event made up the third episode of FCW Empire, now with added commentary from Matthew Sweet.
We got a little recap of the story that lead to the opening match of the episode, which was appreciated.
Dog Collar Match – Sami Sparx w/Fulton King defeated Jay Robin by pinfall.
With both men chained by the neck, Sami Sparx struck first to drop Jay Robin to the mat. Robin got back to his feet to start swinging punches, pulling Sami in with the chain to deliver a couple scoop slams.
It was looking good for The Rainbow Renegade until Fulton King dragged Robin to the outside that eventually lead to Sparx pulling a chair wielding Jay Robin into the ring post.
Robin wasn’t going down without a fight but found himself getting punched in the head over and over with a chain wrapped fist of The Chaotic Luchador.
The match was halted for a moment when the chain came off the collar of Jay Robin, Fulton King joined in for the reset, only to see Sami Sparx colliding into The Juggernaut in calamitous fashion.
Jay Robin took the opening, a Shining Wizard to Sami had Sparx rocked, and a Twist Of Fate nabbed a near fall. Robin went for a second that was countered through into a reverse DDT for a two count.
The plunder was brought out with Robin revealing a black bag full of crashed cans and dumped them in the middle of the ring. A Sami Sparx low blow and two follow up Pedigree’s onto the metal debris was enough for Robin to stay down for Sami to take the win.
Legends Never Die attacked Robin after the match. Fulton got on the microphone to allow Jay one more chance at the DAPW Championship and it would be at ArdlerMania. Robin got a close up of the title as King drilled it through his skull.
There was an incredibly vocal kid in the front row that absolutely hated Sami Sparx with the ripple of that hatred really resonating in the Queen’s Hotel. It hit the story beats of Jay Robin staying in the fight, and an increasingly erratic Sami Sparx getting more unpredictable as the match went on. The tease of the weaponry left the door open for comeuppance and escalation to keep the investment strong, along with the post-match assault.
Number One Contender Fatal Four Way – Ryan Roode defeated Patryk Peterski, ADM, and Caleb Valhalla by pinfall to become number one contender for the FCW Heavyweight Championship.
The beef fest was immediate, fists were flying and the match quickly ended up splitting off in different directions around the function suite.
Roode and Valhalla scrapped around ringside with Ryan getting the best of The Mighty, but his requests for people to move from their seats was met with non-compliance. A frustrated Ryan Roode rolled Caleb back into the ring, turning around to see a Viking soaring through the ropes like a boomerang to collide with Roode and send him into the second row.
An adrenaline filled Caleb Valhalla met face to face with an old rival as he and ADM struggled for the upperhand, a Discus Forearm from ADM was rebounded with a Polish Hammer from Valhalla for both to be weakened.
Peterski and Roode were next to re-open old wounds with Ryan bombarding punches on Big Paddy Cool. Roode was a big target with ADM and Valhalla teaming up to try and take down the facilitator of filth.
As all four returned to between the ropes, they all tried to land that killer blow. ADM took Peterski out with a Claymore Kick, with his Piledriver to Ryan Roode being made even more impactful by a Caleb Valhalla spear while the move was at its apex.
The competitors got to their feet, only for ADM to be dragged out by Tom Atlas, Spike Tierney, and Duke from DE. Caleb joined the brawl to the back that left only two men standing in the ring.
Ryan Roode went for the Kimura Lock that was countered as the support for Patryk Peterski got louder and in sync. The battle went up to the turnbuckles with Roode planning a superplex, but was sent crashing off Bret’s Rope with a spinebuster.
Patryk dropped the straps for a Pole-ympic Slam, a filthy eye rake left Paddy prone for a sit out pumphandle slam that had Ryan Roode victorious.
Ian Ambrose strutted to the ring to size up his ArdlerMania challenger as the show faded to black.
It was a chaotic main event that firmly cemented Patryk Peterski’s status as a firm favourite in Dundee & Angus Pro Wrestling and Fair City Wrestling even in defeat. The crowd really wanted him to overcome the vicious Ryan Roode and transferred all that joy into disgust towards Ryan once the three count was made.
Though it was chaotic on the surface the big moves were given room to breathe and the pacing was well done with everyone getting a moment to shine, the finishing sequence held those in attendance into believing that Peterski was going to do it until it was dashed at the last second.
Of the three episodes that made up the complete DAPW event from June 2025, the audience noticeably grew into the show and were all in for the main event. The addition of commentary was good to add some reasoning and hyperbole.
