The NXT crowd said his name last week and now he appears, Joe Hendry is in NXT.

When Cody Rhodes announced that the number one contender battle royal for Trick Williams’ NXT Championship may include some wrestlers from different locker rooms it was audible of the amount of calls for Joe Hendry from the NXT crowd.

Joe Hendry was one of two representatives from TNA Wrestling, joined by veteran multi-time TNA Tag Team and X-Division Champion Frankie Kazarian.

After calling out the entire field in front of him and declaring himself the next NXT Champion, it didn’t take long for 24 other men to gang up on Hendry with TNA cohort Kazarian dispatching of the former Digital Media Champion.

It wasn’t the end of the story, just the beginning, as Joe marched backstage to exchange words with ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ Shawn Michaels, making it very clear that this wouldn’t be the last time the WWE Universe would hear from Joe Hendry.

Hendry had made previous appearances in WWE as an extra as Rusev’s Russian delegate with the late Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum, and as one of Adam Roses Rosebuds where he was grabbed by Jack Swagger.

Hendry has enjoyed success wherever he has hung his hat due to his unwavering commitment and work ethic which has seen him climb to in the iTunes Charts recently with his entrance theme “I Believe In Joe Hendry”, and whether it was commentary for 5 Star Wrestling, or going out and having a wrestling clinic with Kurt Angle as WCPW, or going viral for his custom entrances that have went viral targeting the likes of Drew McIntyre, Scotty 2 Hotty, or even the town of Grimsby, he makes us believe in Joe Hendry.

Now let’s all wave our hands from side to side and sing, I BELIEVE IN JOE HENDRY.

We had the pleasure to speak to Joe Hendry on the SWN Podcast back in 2021. Check it out:
