WWE’s latest tournament will put focus on the bursting talent pool that is women’s wrestling. Over the last couple years since the ‘Divas Revolution’ the amount of respect that WWE are now allowing the women to garner has more than increased. Stripping away the hokey models that roll about abit and embracing that anything the men can do, women are also more than capable. Rumoured talents to appear include Nixon Newell and Toni Storm.
Much like the announcement of the Cruiserweight Classic we’re going to take a look at five Scottish talents that would thrive in the women’s tournament.
The former Courtney has been working her backside off in the United States right now with returns to Scotland and around Europe regularly. She likes to use her feet to kick larger opponents down to size, very young so would have plenty energy to get through various rounds of matches.
The new Pro Wrestling:EVE Champion looks near unstoppable right now with consistantly putting on fantastic performances. The months roll in and Sammii’s confidence grows with each passing match. ‘The Queen of Catch’ has been steadily evolving to one of the best in the country and the chance to compete in this tournament would just show how adaptable she is.
Why not? Nikki has been in NXT and having some fun matches with the likes of Ruby Riot and Asuka. A world travelled and experienced competitor that would bite, scratch and claw through each match. Having the numbers of SAnitY behind her wouldn’t hurt but Cross is one of the few to push the undefeated WWE NXT Women’s Champion Asuka to the very limit. A victory in this might just be the momentum required to finally unseat the champion.
This list couldn’t be complete without ‘The Vixen of Violence’ Viper, possibly a long shot due to her being advertised for World of Sport Wrestling but if the WWE want her, they’ll get her. One of the most intimidating wrestlers in the country due to her size and strength with the ability to throw just about anyone about, man or woman.
The crown jewel of Scottish wrestling, Kay Lee Ray has popped up in NXT before and has been tearing up the UK, Europe and Japan with her death defying antics. A wealth of experience and big matches under her belt, a trophy cabinet bursting and a highly respected name. Would be a favourite to win it all if she was to take part.
So that’s five of our picks. Who do you think should be involved? Comment below!

I definitely feel number 1 and 2 deserve to be in it aswell as Nixon Newell
