Welcome to Starter For 10. We ask professional wrestlers 10 questions so that you can find out a bit more about your favourite real life superheroes.
On this edition, Mark J Wilson answers our questions.

What drew you into professional wrestling?
At 10 years old (7 years ago), I first saw the WWE advertisement on TV and it was people like The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, and other big characters. After watching WWE due to this ad, I was drawn in by the excitement and energy of the performers and fans.
Who were your favourite wrestlers going up and who are your favourites now?
Well I really liked Rey Mysterio just because what he did in the ring was very impressive and how captivating he was. Now, I have to say I really like Ricochet as he is phenomenal in the ring and does stuff no-one has ever seen before.
What made you decide to start training to be a wrestler and where did you start?
I decided at 14 to start training because I thought if they (as in WWE superstars) could do it, why couldn’t I? So I decided to just go for it.
Who are your biggest influences in professional wrestling, as a fan and as a wrestler?
Mostly Rey Mysterio and Paige as a fan because of Rey’s in-ring abilities and Paige’s constant reminders that it’s good to be different and stand out. Wrestler wise, it’s hard to say because I try to take stuff from all styles and change stuff from all the people on television.
Who has been your favourite opponent(s) and do you have a favourite match?
Can’t really choose out of any, every match I have had I have loved and every opponent has been a great person to wrestle against.
What has been your career highlight(s) so far?
Definitely debuting in May last year and defeating Mikey Whiplash at the Source Wrestling Showcase.
Who would be your dream opponent, past or present?
I would love to gain experience wrestling against everyone I can but I would have to say Ricochet as I feel I could learn great things from him.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I will still be quite young in five years but still wrestling and working hard to improve myself and what I do.
Where can we find you on social media?
Instagram: @markjwilson_
And finally, why do you do what you do?
Because I love it!
Thank you to Mark for answering our questions.
