WrestleZone announced at their Friends of ANCHOR Charity Show that “The Oddity” BT Gunn would make his return to the company at their annual Christmas Chaos event on Saturday December 8th from Aberdeen’s Danestone Community Centre. Gunn was scheduled to return at a previous charity show in March where he would challenge Shawn Johnson for the Undisputed Championship, but that entire show would be cancelled due to the extreme weather conditions. As a result, his return now takes place here. There’s only one thing left to think about now – who will face The Oddity on December 8th?
Damien
It seems like the ideal opponent for BT Gunn’s return to have him challenge for the Undisputed Championship, considering his previous return was meant to have him doing just that. Plus, Gunn vs Damien sounds like it would be a cracking match. The pair have previously faced off in Undisputed Championship action, with Damien coming out on top at Summerhill Showdown 2011. They’re both completely different people nowadays though, so a rematch certainly wouldn’t hurt.
Andy Wild
Andy Wild has been a major player in WrestleZone for a while now, capturing both the Tri-Counties and Undisputed Championships, the latter of which saw him end Scotty Swift’s 525-day reign on top. It’s only right that he gets rewarded with these big marquee matches, and against BT Gunn would be a match that falls under that banner. Both men are more than capable of putting on a showcase match that is sure to send the crowd home feeling pleased.
Crusher Craib
Crusher Craib’s rivalry with Scotty Swift appears to be over now, at least for the foreseeable future. What better way to come in to the next big show following this and challenge a man like BT Gunn? The Creator of Carnage has been one of the driving forces behind WrestleZone for some time now. When he went down with a hip injury in June 2016 that left him sidelined for a year, there was a huge spot to fill as there was no true big man to tower over the locker room. His return has been excellent thus far with some of his best matches of all-time in my eyes, and him vs BT would just continue his journey back up the mountain.
Alan Sterling
Alan Sterling was set to face Lionheart at the Friends of ANCHOR Charity Show, but unfortunately had to pull out due to an injury. Seeing this, it seems only fair that he gets the right to face the next big guest in the form of BT Gunn. Alan has come a long way since ditching the Lord character at Aberdeen Anarchy 2015, capturing the Tag Team Championships several more times alongside brother William and most recently, enlisting a new bodyguard in the form of Caleb Valhalla. Alan’s DDT vs BT’s Techno Drome – sign me up!
Zach Dynamite
After coming back from what seemed a career-ending injury in the summer of 2016, Zach Dynamite has become a changed man, turning his back on the fans to capture his second Tri-Counties Championship. It’s this new mean streak he has that has allowed him to showcase his abilities elsewhere, as he debuted for Discovery Wrestling alongside Nathan North at the start of August. If he were to face someone the calibre of BT Gunn (especially after recently facing Lionheart at the start of the month), it would give him an even bigger ego than he already has. Who knows what he’d be like if he were to go on and win the match too…
Who would you like to see face BT Gunn at Christmas Chaos next month?
