WrestleZone were back at the Danestone Community Centre in Aberdeen last night for Christmas Chaos 2018, their last event of the year. With BT Gunn returning to the company, it was set to be one incredible night. Coming out though, there’s far more talking points than I had ever expected there to be. Let’s get on with it!

Championships Retained

Both Damien and The Kings of Catch were successful in their championship outings, with Damien surviving both Crusher Craib and BT Gunn in the main event to remain the Undisputed Champion while Aspen Faith and Lewis Girvan retained the Tag Team Championships over Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions. They now earn the right to enter 2019 with their respective titles, facing different tasks of their own. Damien has to be fearing the thought of NXT UK star Wolfgang returning at Summerhill Showdown, while The KoC have a new team in their division as The Thunder Buddies are back (more on that later). While they retained their gold, one man wasn’t so lucky…

Mr P Triumphs

Zach Dynamite walked into Christmas Chaos as the Tri-Counties Champion and walked out with nothing. Mr P defeated him in a Christmas Brawl to win his first taste of singles gold in WrestleZone, and also keep his career alive. P outsmarted both Dynamite and his muscle Bradley Evans to lift the gold on his birthday of all days. As he heads into the new year as a champion, all we can say for now is congratulations Mr P!

The Golden Boy Is Back

The old golden boy of Sterling Oil made a surprise return as he was called out by Jason Reed while in attendance, being sneak attacked by Reed and Agent W. Shawn hasn’t been seen since losing the Undisputed Championship to Damien at Aberdeen Anarchy X, not giving any indication as to whether or not he’d be back. Well, that question has been answered now, and it seems as if he now has unfinished business with Mr Reed, future President of WrestleZone.

A Thunderous Reunion

The second match of the main show saw Blue Thunder and Kaden Garrick uniting to tackle The Outfit pairing of Dino Del Monte and Ted O’Keefe. By the end of the match, it was clear that Thunder had been driven mad by losing time and time again as he turned on Kaden to allow a victory to The Outfit. Not only did The Masked Wonder do this, but he also reunited with his old Thunder Buddies partner William Sterling. No clue as to whether they’ll be using the same team name, but they are indeed back together.

The Wolf Is Howling

Prior to the main event, it was announced that NXT UK star Wolfgang would be in action at Summerhill Showdown 2019 on Saturday January 19th from Aberdeen’s Summerhill Hotel. Look out on the site for a Five Picks To Face post in the coming days, and make sure to buy your tickets for the show from Monday!

As well as all that, Bradley Evans was also victorious over Cysto 1 on the pre-show and The Rejected defeated the team of Andy Wild and Alan Sterling. Alan slapped Andy in the face post-match, leading the Unstoppable one to challenge Sterling to a bout at Summerhill Showdown. Not good news for Mr Sterling…

Certainly a fine way to cap off a successful year for WrestleZone. Three major moments out of the show as well as a huge announcement. Lovely. Two dates have already been announced for 2019 (Summerhill Showdown on January 19th, Aberdeen Anarchy on June 1st), but stay tuned to WrestleZone’s social media pages for news on all other upcoming shows!
