Every year, along with our fan voted awards, the admin team at Scottish Wrestling Network agree on some additional awards for deserving recipients. This year is a little bit different.

The year 2019 has seen lots of notable retirements in the world of Scottish wrestling with Jayla Dark, Michael Chase and, shortly, Johnny Lions hanging up their boots for the final time.

But in June this year Scottish wrestling, and the world, lost one of it’s greatest advocates for professional wrestling. A hero to many, a fanny to some but a friend to all that crossed paths with him.

We agreed that only one admin award should go out this year and it could only go to one man.

Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum

It is our honour to announce the recipient of the Scottish Wrestling Network Outstanding Recognition Award for Extraordinary Service this year is the late Adrian ‘Lionheart’ McCallum.

His impact in the world of professional wrestling will never be forgotten.
