This is a new feature where we take a look back at classic events in Scottish Wrestling and see what the talent from those shows are
doing now.

ICW Fear & Loathing – 15.10.2006
This was Insane Championship Wrestling’s debut show at the Maryhill Community Halls in front of 73 people… a far cry from the 4000 strong crowd at last year’s Fear & Loathing. With this show being almost 10 years old, there are a lot of names who no longer wrestle for ICW or at all. So let’s have a look at a handful of these wrestlers and see where they are now.

“Mojo Pervito”
One half of “Los Pevitos” who challenged Fite Club and The Tenacious Gunns on this night.

Almost 10 years on, he is now wrestling as “Prince Ameen” all over the North of England for promotions like Main Event Wrestling, Absolute Wrestling and most recently in WhatCulture Pro Wrestling’s debut shows on YouTube.

“Allan Grogan”
‘The Natural’ Allan Grogan was one of the top names in Scottish Wrestling at the time and headlined this show in a Triple Threat for the ICW Heavyweight Championship against Drew Galloway and Darkside.

These days, Allan is highly involved in Politics, as a Scottish political activist. After founding the Labour for Independence Campaign, followed by joining and eventually leaving the Scottish Socialist Party, Allan now has a blog where he discusses current political issues.

“Thee” Drew Galloway
I’m sure anyone reading this knows what Drew Galloway has been up to since 2006… However, it is interesting to go back and look at how far the man has come.

At this point, Drew was one of the biggest names in Britain and a certain promotion in Stanford, Connecticut had their eye on him. He claimed the ICW Heavyweight Championship in the Main Event of this show becoming the first ever ICW Heavyweight Champion.

Well it’s safe to say that Drew has been busy since 2006… Coming off a 7 year run in the WWE where he held the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships, Drew is now arguably one of the biggest names in the World of Wrestling. In 2014 he made his return to ICW, winning the ICW Heavyweight Championship and defending it all over the world. He now wrestles regularly in ICW, EVOLVE, PWG, even TNA where he recently had a run as their World Heavyweight Champion.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this concept and if you have any suggestions for which show I should look at next, feel free to contact us.
