WrestleZone recently introduced a third title, the WrestleZone Tri-Counties Championship. A 16-man tournament will begin this Saturday in Kincorth as the Qualifiers kick off. The tournament will countinue until the inaugural Tri-Counties Champion is crowned, which is set to be at some point 2017.

Before I start, let’s take at how the 4 rounds will play out;

Qualifiers
Jimbo Bannon vs Andrew Wilde – My pick for this match is Andrew Wilde. He’s been on quite a good roll lately and does’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.
Bryan Tucker vs Kaden Garrick – My pick for this match is Bryan Tucker. His only loss since returning was to Shawn Johnson at Battle of the Nations, and that was because Shawn had his feet on the ropes. Kaden has been on a losing streak since Battle of the Nations and it looks like management are continuing that story for the time being.
Aspen Faith vs Blue Thunder – My pick for this match is Aspen Faith. Although he’s been unseen in a WrestleZone ring since July, he’s the clear choice to have win here.
Johnny Lions vs Lord Mr Malice – My pick for this match is Johnny Lions. Come on, Malice isn’t advancing.
Zach Dynamite vs Lou King Sharp – My pick for this match is Zach Dynamite. He hasn’t appeared as much as I thought he would since his Battle of the Nations return, but this tournament will give him the momentum he needs.
Mr P vs Shawn Johnson – My pick for this match is Shawn Johnson. He’s really improved since joining Sterling Oil last November. In my opinion, he’s not quite ready to be an Undisputed Champion quite yet, but the tournament, like with Zach Dynamite, can give him more momentum and build him towards winning the big one.
Bingo Ballance vs Alan Sterling – My pick for this match is Alan Sterling. Like his Sterling Oil associate Shawn Johnson, he’s also improved since the reformation of the group. This win would boost him forward even more, especially against a former Undisputed Champion and Regal Rumble winner in Bingo Ballance.
Damien vs Jason Reed – My pick for this match is Jason Reed. I don’t really have a reason, but all I can think of is Johnny Lions distracting Damien to cost him the match.

Quarter-Finals
Andrew Wilde vs Bryan Tucker – My pick for this match is Andrew Wilde. Again, he’s been on a roll and could very well be in the final four. Maybe have Shawn Johnson interfere on his behalf and attack his former partner.
Aspen Faith vs Johnny Lions – My pick for this match is Aspen Faith. I don’t have a full reason why, but I can see Damien costing Johnny Lions as revenge for the Qualifiers.
Zach Dynamite vs Shawn Johnson – My pick for this match is Zach Dynamite. Both men have been impressive over the last few weeks, but I can see Zach winning. Like with Andrew/Bryan, maybe have Bryan Tucker interfere on Zach’s behalf.
Alan Sterling vs Jason Reed – My pick for this match is Alan Sterling. Although he’s currently Tag Team Champion in Sterling Oil, he could push forward to the Semifinals if he can nail that DDT.

Semi-Finals
Andrew Wilde vs Aspen Faith – My pick for this match is Aspen Faith. The only reason I have is Aspen Faith needs to be the first champion. Sorry Andrew.
Alan Sterling vs Zach Dynamite – My pick for this match is Zach Dynamite. I can see Alan as a future Tri-Counties Champion, but I can’t see him in the finals.

Finals
Aspen Faith vs Zach Dynamite – My pick for this match, as you can probably imagine is Aspen Faith. The King of Catch is deserving of being the first champion and would really cement his legacy in WrestleZone as one of their all-time greats.

There we have it. My predictions for the entire Tri-Counties Title Tournament. I personally can’t wait for this tournament to get underway. Some of the matches in the Qualifying Round look to be exceptional, with Bingo/Alan, Zach/LKS and Damien/Jason being the ones to look out for.

The tournament gets underway this Saturday, October 15th, and the first champion will be crowned in 2017.
