Hello and welcome to this weeks’s instalment of Adam’s Top 10. This week I will be taking a look at 10 of my favourite characters.
10. “The Greatest of All the Malices” Lord Mr Malice
Although he’s not the best in the ring he is one of the best comedy acts in Scotland right now. Alongside his Vice Executive of Butler Relations Jeeves Winchester, Malice has been at the end of some vicious beatings, most notably at last year’s Proving Grounds event where he was DDT’d by Alan Sterling. It was this DDT that caused him to become a Lord.
9. “The Riot” Chris James
I’m not sure if this man’s too well known yet, but “The Riot” Chris James is one of my favourites from Dundee based promotion, SWE. Everything about him just flows together so well. His appearance, his attire, his baseball bat. A tremendously gifted performer.
8. The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago)
Former WrestleZone Tag Team chanpions The Rejected come in at number 8 with The Rejected pairing of Chris Archer and Mikkey Vago. The duo covered in denim quickly got my full attention in early 2015 with their rivalry against the Thunder Buddies. Ever since, I always enjoy seeing them perform and the future can only bring great things for them.
7. “The Best in the Galaxy” Nikki Storm
The self-proclaimed Best in the Galaxy has now landed in NXT. With her standout performances in companies such as ICW and Fierce Females, I knew she’d make it. Hopefully she one day ones the NXT Womens title, and perhaps even the WWE Womens title.
6. The Purge (Joseph Vane & Krobar)
In my eyes, these two are the future of tag team wrestling in Scotland. Having debuted out of the Glasgow Pro Wrestling Asylum, they quickly proved that they are not a one-hit wonder and they are indeed here to stay.
5. The Sam Bourbour Experience
Another member of the GPWA comes with another great character. The Sam Bourbour Experience has all the things needed to succeed and I think he could do wonders for the world of Scottish wrestling.
4. “Your Mothers Favourite Wrestler” Lou King Sharp
If you haven’t heard of Lou King Sharp, then go look him up. He may be short (only a ‘colossal’ 5″4) but that doesn’t he can’t bring it in the ring. Whether it’s against a opponent of his size or a much larger opponent, he’ll bring it. Because behind all the silly antics is your Mother’s favourite wrestler.
3. “The King of Catch” Aspen Faith
Aspen Faith is a technical messiah. His quick strikes, his grappling skills and his submissions are some of the best in the wrestling world. He is a future Undisputed WrestleZone champion for sure.
2. “The #Scumbag” Ian Ambrose
Another great talent arrives at number 2 as Ian Ambrose comes onto the list. His nickname describes him perfectly as he is simply a scumbag. This shown perfectly back at last year’s SWE Hell for Lycra show when he came in at the last second to win a ladder match. One last thing, Ambrose is God.
1. “The Very Good” Euan G. Mackie
Euan G. Mackie is hard to beat when it comes to confidence. He doesn’t care what the fans think, he’ll appear the way he wants to. With his green hair and very eccentric gear comes a great in-ring performer. As the old saying goes, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
There goes another edition. Next week I’ll be taking a look at my top 10 rivalries.
