On this edition of Pass Me the Book, we will take a look at booking a third WrestleZone hardcore-style show. First, we had One Wild Night. Then we had Another Wild Night. Now, we have WrestleZone Goes Wild… Again. I would have the show take place on Saturday October 1st, a week before their show in Balmedie, live from the Espionage Nightclub in Aberdeen (I wasn’t sure where to have it, so just looked up nightclubs in Aberdeen), with an over 18’s only crowd. Before we get started on the show, there will be a change of champions as Damien will have defeated Scotty Swift for the Undisputed title at Battle of the Nations, while the Sterling Brothers will have won the Tag Team titles from Kaden Garrick and Mr P at the same show. Let’s get started.

Granite City Street Fight
Shawn Johnson vs Bryan Tucker

The show kicks off with the very first Granite City Street Fight between former tag team partners Shawn Johnson and Bryan Tucker. Bryan makes his way out first and is quick to get several weapons out from under the ring. Chairs, kendo sticks, trash cans, anything. Out of nowhere Bryan is attacked from behind by Shawn Johnson, wielding a steel chair of his own. The referee rings the bell as the former Hotshots battle outside the ring. They take their fight over to the bar, where Shawn takes a sip of beer before spitting it in the face of his friend turned enemy. Shawn continues the assault as they make their way back down to ringside. Shawn tosses Bryan back inside the ring before retrieving a table from under the ring. This gave Tucker enough time to recover as he performed a massive suicide dive on his former partner. Bryan set the table up at ringside before taking the Sterling Oil member onto the ring apron. The two traded punches, going back and forth, before Johnson kicked Tucker below the belt. Shawn set Bryan up for a huge Hangman’s Facebuster off the apron, but Bryan somehow came back into the match with a devastating elbow to the jaw that rocked the Espionage Nightclub. He followed it up with his signature Twist of Fate off the apron and through the table, a move that garnered a huge ‘this is awesome’ chant by the fans. Both men lay motionless at ringside as the referee checked on them. Bryan started to make his way back to his feet and set up some chairs in the middle of the ring. He was attacked from behind with a kendo stick to the back of the head as Johnson had made his way back up. It was clear that these two men have a real hatred for one another as Shawn laid into Bryan with kendo stick shot after kendo stick shot to the ribs. Once again, he set up for a Hangman’s Facebuster, and once again it was countered, this time into a neckbreaker. Bryan got the fans hyped up as he scaled to the top rope, looking for a diving elbow drop. But a hooded man came from the crowd and nailed a low blow from behind, knocking Bryan off the ropes and back into the ring. Johnson had made his way back to his feet and lay his former friend across the chairs before scaling to the top rope. Shawn then connected with a massive Diving Double Foot Stomp that sent Bryan crashing through the setup of chairs. The move was devastating enough to give Shawn Johnson the win.

Winner via Diving Stomp through chairs – Shawn Johnson

Shawn stood tall over Tucker after the match as the referee raised his hand. The hooded man joined him inside the ring and grabbed a microphone from ring announcer Martyn Clunes. Before saying a word, he pulled down his hood and removed his mask, revealing himself as none other than Jimbo Bannon! Jimbo went on about how he hadn’t been given the chances he deserves despite proving himself time and time again. He ended his statement by telling the crowd to suck it (sneaky DX/Young Bucks reference). Jimbo and Shawn left the ring and headed backstage as Bryan Tucker, who lay in the ring during the whole thing, was helped backstage.

Before the next contest began, WrestleZone management representative Chris McDonald made his way into the ring and adressed Sterling Oil. They had the Undisputed title, they had the Tag Team titles, now they had a new member. He challenged Richard R. Russell, Sterling Oil’s Chief Financial Officer, to meet him in the ring before the main event.

Contenders Battle Royal
Aspen Faith w/Sammii Jayne vs Johnny Lions vs Blue Thunder vs Lord Mr Malice w/Jeeves Winchester vs Chris Archer vs Mikkey Vago vs Bingo Ballance

The second contest of the evening pitted 7 competitors against each other in a Battle Royal where the winner would earn a shot at the Undisputed title at Halloween Hijinx on October 29th. Lord Mr Malice entered first, flanked by his butler Jeeves Winchester and was soon followed by both halfs of the Rejected in Chris Archer and Mikkey Vago. Blue Thunder entered next, followed by Johnny Lions and then Aspen Faith with Sammii Jayne by his side. Bingo Ballance then burst through the curtain as a surprise entrant and immediately clotheslined Lord Mr Malice out of the ring as the bell rang. The remaining 6 continued fighting as Malice and Jeeves left ringside. Thunder locked horns with Aspen, while Archer and Vago took it to Lions and Bingo. It wasn’t long before Lions tossed Mikkey out of the ring, then pulled the ropes down as Archer charged towards him, causing him to crash over onto his partner. The match was down to 4 men, as Lions, Thunder, Faith and Ballance did everything they could to earn a shot at the title. Blue Thunder was the next one to go after being tossed out by Aspen Faith. As we came down to the final three, Damien came out and looked on as his next challenger would be detemined. This caused a distraction for Johnny, and Faith eliminated him as we came down to the final two. Johnny nailed a surprise Lion Cutter on Damien, taking him face first into the floor of the Espionage. Aspen and Bingo started to trade punches, knowing that only one of them could leave with a title opportunity. Aspen managed to knock the Zenith of Zero-G over the ropes to the apron but he held on. Faith rebounded off the ropes, looking for a Rolling Elbow but Bingo pulled the ropes down. Aspen, like Bingo, managed to hang on. A fist fight started on the apron, before Ballance missed a roundhouse kick and was shoved to the floor, giving Aspen Faith the win and the title match.

Winner and Contender – Aspen Faith

Order of Elimination
1. Lord Mr Malice by Bingo Ballance
2. Mikkey Vago by Johnny Lions
3. Chris Archer by Johnny Lions
4. Blue Thunder by Aspen Faith
5. Johnny Lions by Aspen Faith
6. Bingo Ballance by Aspen Faith

Aspen and Sammii celebrated after the match as the King of Catch now knows that he will challenge for the Undisputed title against Damien. Chris McDonald enters the ring with a microphone and asks Aspen if he can do one thing for him. Chris asks Faith if he will help him in his little war with Richard R. Russell and the rest of Sterling Oil. Aspen thinks about, and eventually agrees. The two men shake hands before clearing the ring.

Elimination Tables Match for the WrestleZone Tag Team Titles
Sterling Oil (William Sterling & Alan Sterling)(c) vs Kaden Garrick & Mr P

The last match for the first half sees the Sterling Brothers, William and Alan, defend their tag gold against former champs Kaden Garrick and Mr P in the first Tables match in WrestleZone history. Not only that, but in order to win both members of the team must be put through a table. Kaden and Mr P made their way to ringside first, followed by the brothers from Sterling Oil. The match started with all 4 competitors trading punches in the middle of the ring until William and Alan retreated to ringside. They regrouped on the outside before Mr P came out of nowhere with a huge dive from the top rope. Kaden set a table up in the centre of the ring as Mr P took Alan Sterling back into the ring. The former champs set up for an Aided Powerbomb through the wood but Alan was saved by his brother. William took out Kaden with his trademark Chokeslam Backbreaker then both the Sterling Oil members grabbed Mr P, setting up for the Oil Crash. P was able to counter after punching William in the ribs a few times and was even able to nail his Axe Kick to the head of Alan. Kaden had gotten back to his feet and put the table in the corner before heading out to ringside for a second one, which he set up at ringside. Kaden got back into the ring and looked to nail Alan with a Spear through the table in the corner. Alan, however, sidestepped him, leading Garrick to crash shoulder first throuh the wood. Unfortunately for Sterling Oil, Kaden remained in the match as the participants actually had to put their opponent through the table. Alan capitalised on this and took Kaden over to the ring apron. He looked set to nail a DDT onto the other table, but Mr P saved his partner with several punches to the head. William got back into the ring behind P and clocked him in the back of the head with one of the title belts. Alan insisted on bringing him onto the apron as he shoved Kaden to the side. Together, William and Alan nailed a vicious Spike DDT off the apron and right through the table for the first elimination. Kaden got back to his feet and nailed a wonderful double Spear on both the Sterling brothers. He checked on Mr P as he was helped to the back before leaning a table against the ropes. He grabs William and looks to be attempting an Exploder Suplex until he sees Alan getting to his feet. He grabs Alan by the head, attempting to nail a DDT of his own but Alan counters into a huge suplex. William just makes it to his feet as Alan crawls to the ropes. The brothers discuss a plan and head out to ringside with sick looks on their faces. After pulling something from underneath the ring, the fans can tell why. They reveal a table that appears to have thumbtacks stuck down on top. The sinister table is set up at ringside, similar to the one that Mr P went through. This gave Kaden just enough time to recover as he stares his opponents down. Jimbo Bannon appeared by the entrance way and distracted him, allowing Alan and Willian to attack Kaden’s knee from behind. Alan locks him in a Figure Four Leglock with his legs around the ring post. While that’s happening, William blasts Garrick across the head with a chair, making a huge dent. Alan releases the hold as he drags the lifeless body over to the table. He shouts on Jimbo to get in the ring as the three Sterling Oil members call for the end. Alan and William lift Kaden on to Jimbo’s shoulders before Kaden is dropped over the ropes and through the table with a brutal triple powerbomb.

Winners via Elimination and STILL WrestleZone Tag Team Champions – Sterling Oil

Order of Elimination
1. Mr P via Spike DDT off the apron
2. Kaden Garrick via Triple Powerbomb

Jimbo hands the title belts to his new partners before William grabs a mic. He declares that Sterling Oil are taking over the company, before announcing the use of the Sterling Rule a.k.a the Freebird Rule. Any combination of Sterling Oil can defend the titles. Jimbo leads the brothers backstage as the show heads into the interval.

Triple Threat Ladder Match for a future title opportunity
Lewis Girvan vs Kenny Williams vs Jack Jester

The show comes back from interval with a Ladder match where the winner will earn a future shot at either of the two titles in WrestleZone. Jack Jester makes his way to ringside first, making his first appearance since the 2015 Aberdeen Anarchy. Out next is Kenny Williams as he skateboards through the curtain. The final participant is revealed as Lewis Girvan, who has had a great career in WrestleZone thus far due to his matches against Aspen Faith. Lewis and Jack both go to ringside as the bell rings, both wanting to grab the ladder right off the bat. Kenny comes flying over the ropes with a huge suicide dive to his opponents. This gives him enough time to take the ladder into the ring himself. As he starts to climb Lewis climbs back into the ring and nails a huge kick to the knee. Kenny gets his other leg caught in the rungs of the ladder while Girvan ascends to the top rope. While Jack remains at ringside, Lewis dives off the ropes with a vicious Double Stomp to Kenny while he remains tangled up in the ladder. Jester comes back into the ring and tosses the Best Young Wrestler out of the ring and to the floor. He starts scaling the ladder but Kenny somehow pulls himself up and frees his leg. The two of them have a war of punches at the top of the ladder until Jester is rocked by a roundhouse kick to the head. The kick is followed by a spectacular Tilt-a-Whirl DDT, a move Kenny calls the Quiff Buster, from off the ladder. The fans are in shock from what they’ve just seen as Lewis Girvan climbs back into the ring. As he reaches the top of the ladder, he sees Kenny crawling back to his feet. Lewis climbs back down the ladder and sets Kenny up for the Saturday Crush lifting DDT but it’s countered into another Quiff Buster. Kenny finally has the chance to climb up the ladder and makes it to the top. Kenny manages to pull the contract down but the referee doesn’t notice him as Jack Jester appears to have injured his neck. Kenny drops the contract and goes to check on Jack while Lewis sneakily makes his way back into the ring. Girvan picks up the contract and waves it in front of the referee, who awards him the win.

Winner and Contender – Lewis Girvan

Kenny is visibly angered afterwards as he complains that he won the match. Lewis continued celebrating after the match as Jack was helped to the back. Kenny left soon after, still angered as he went into the next contest.

Open Challenge
Jimbo Bannon vs ???

Chris McDonald made his way into the ring for his confrontation with Richard R. Russell, but was soon interrupted by Russell’s newest colleague Jimbo Bannon. Jimbo ordered Chris to leave his ring before issuing an open challenge to anyone in the locker room. To his dismay, out came Cysto. As soon as Cysto made his way into the ring, Jimbo laid into him with several punches to the head. Cysto was quickly locked in a tight kneebar which forced him to tap out in a matter of seconds.

Winner via Kneebar – Jimbo Bannon

Jimbo continued the assault after the match leaving Cysto beaten in the middle of the ring. The Tangerine Dream was helped to the back as Chris McDonald returned to the ring.

Before Chris could have the chance to speak, Russell emerged from the curtain surrounded by the rest of Sterling Oil. Shawn Johnson, Jimbo Bannon, the tag champions William and Alan Sterling and the Undisputed champion Damien. Richard entered the ring as his men barricaded anyone from entering. Chris was once again stopped from saying anything, as the members of Sterling Oil stepped onto the ring apron. Russell signalled for the attack but Scotty Swift, Bryan Tucker, Johnny Lions, Blue Thunder and Aspen Faith chased them off. Everyone left the ringside area except for Scotty and Damien as their title match was starting right now.

Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Undisputed WrestleZone Title
Damien(c) vs Scotty Swift

The whole show had been leading to this. The rematch from Battle of the Nations, this time under Falls Count Anywhere rules. Both men agreed that it would be the last time they ever faced each other. The match got off to a hot start as both men just tore into each other with punch after punch. Damien soon escaped to the outside but Scotty came out of nowhere with a suicide dive. Scotty retrieved a trash can full of weapons, containing items such as a chair, some kendo sticks and a bag of thumbtacks. Damien smacked Scotty across the back with a steel chain he pulled out from his singlet. Damien picked up one of the kendo sticks and lashed the Red Haired Warrior across the back several times. As the challenger writhed in pain, Damien got a table out from under the ring. The table was set up at ringside as Scotty had just gotten back to his feet. Damien went to use the kendo stick again but Scotty grabbed it himself. Damien was struck across the knee before recieving the same thing he did to Scotty, several strikes to the back. Scotty grabbed the bag of tacks and emptied them onto the mat. Damien was struggling to get back to his feet but even when he did, he was sent straight back down with yet another lash from the kendo stick. Scotty took Damien to the top rope, looking for a superplex on top of the trash can but instead got a poke in the eye. Damien followed up with a huge sunset flip powerbomb off the top, sending Swift crashing through the trash can. The Revolutionary waited for Scotty to make his way back to a standing position before leaping at him for his Single Knee Facebreaker. In an amazing feat of strength, Scotty caught him in mid-air and dropped him right on top of the pile of thumbtacks. Scotty went for the pin after but only got a two. Scotty glanced over at the table at ringside as he dragged Damien back to his feet. He appeared to be setting up for the Granite City Driver off the ring apron but Damien managed to wriggle out, before finally nailing his Single Knee Facebreaker off the apron and through the table. To the shock of everyone in attendance, Scotty kicked out just before the three count. The look on Damien’s face showed he didn’t know what else to do. But then, the look changed as he found something under the ring. Damien dragged out some barbed wire before licking it. The barbed wire was wrapped around Damien’s boot as he looked set for the Superkick. As Damien chanted ‘off with his head!’ inside the ring, Scotty dragged himself back into the ring. Damien went for the Superkick, but Scotty was able to catch his foot and nail the Granite City Driver onto the chair for yet another two count. Scotty dragged the champion to his feet before grabbing the chair. He went for a straight shot to the head but Damien ducked, and then Superkicked the chair into his face. Scotty remained on his feet, allowing Damien to deliver a second Superkick with the barbed wire boot that got the three count.

Winner via Barbed Wire Superkick and STILL Undisputed WrestleZone champion – Damien

Damien celebrated his win after the match accompanied by the rest of Sterling Oil. Damien, William, Alan, Shawn, Jimbo and Richard stand tall over Scotty as the hardcore event came to an end.
