Ever since I first wrestled for W3L in Grangemouth back in 2013, I have always enjoyed shows that have taken place there. There is always a good turnout and the fans always make some decent noise. I also often see familiar faces in the Grangemouth crowd as well, with them arguably being one of our most loyal fanbases.
Previous Grangemouth shows have seen me face off against the likes of Nathan Reynolds, The Coffey Brothers and BT Gunn. This Grangemouth show would see me face off against Grado. Myself and Grado have wrestled before, at a W3L show in Berwick Upon Tweed. Ceiling discrepancies did not help that match, but I had a feeling this one would be much better and it was.

The match was essentially the uptight and obnoxious Englishman versus the everyman Scotstman and arguably the most popular wrestler with a casual wrestling audience the UK has seen since Big Daddy in Grado. Of course, proceedings started off with me cutting a promo on the Grangemouth audience before getting the English national anthem to play and Grado interrupting with his entrance to ‘Like A Prayer’ by Madonna, which resulted in a very audible reaction from the audience.

There were a lot of antics and shenanigans throughout this match, all of which were well-received by the crowd. The match concluded with me failing at a Bulldog attempt, but managing to counter Grado’s splash in the corner attempt with an elbow and going for The Chokeslam From Heck. Grado managed to avoid this however and put me away with The Wee Boot.

Later on in the show, I formed an international alliance with Saqib Ali to beat up Mike Musso, but Jason Reed interfered and we found ourselves challenged to an impromptu tag team match. It was a wild and fast-paced affair, with me and Saqib taking control at the start, but the two fan favourites re-gained the advantage and picked up the win to send the audience home happy.
Over the course of four days, I found myself wrestling in five matches and travelling hundreds of miles also. Being on tour is always an experience and I always enjoy sharing those experiences in my own wacky way. The shows after this tour will see W3L in Berwick Upon Tweed, Musselburgh for Wrestlution X, Dunfermline and Consett, which will be explored in future blogs. Until then though, that is The Life of Smith. Good day.
