WrestleZone host their final show of 2016 this Saturday, December 3rd, as they debut at Aberdeen’s Danestone Community Centre for Christmas Chaos. A huge night of action is set for the audience, including a defence of the Undisputed Title and the last two Qualifiers in the Tri-Counties Title Tournament.
Triple Threat Match for the Undisputed WrestleZone Title
Andy Wild (c) vs Scotty Swift vs Johnny Lions
The main event for this year’s Christmas Chaos will see quite possibly the biggest triple threat in WrestleZone history, as Andy Wild defends his Undisputed Title against former champion Scotty Swift and Johnny Lions. Scotty has decided to invoke his rematch clause at the last show of the year while Johnny earned his spot after Andy used some questionable tactics in his title match back in Huntly. Scotty and Johnny haven’t always seen eye to eye with each other, but will be sure to unite with a common enemy against them. Andy Wild has had a fantastic year thus far, and a win over two of WrestleZone’s biggest names at once will prove his dominance once again. This is the last match WrestleZone will be having this year, and what a match to go out on.
WrestleZone Tag Team Titles
If Kaden and Mr P lose, they can no longer team together
Sterling Oil (Alan Sterling & Shawn Johnson) (c) vs Kaden Garrick & Mr P
After their six man tag victory over Sterling Oil back in Arbroath, Kaden Garrick & Mr P laid out the challenge to Sterling Oil for one more title shot. Richard R. Russell accepted the challenge for his men, on one condition; should the challengers lose the match, they will not be allowed to team together ever again. Kaden seemed happy as long as they got another title shot, while Mr P seemed concerned they maybe wouldn’t be allowed to team again. With this huge stipulation added, this tag match has massive stakes as we head towards the new year. Kaden and Mr P will need to pull out their very best if they plan to walk into 2017 as the WrestleZone Tag Team Champions.
WrestleZone Tri-Counties Title Tournament: Qualifiers
Jason Reed vs Damien
In one of two qualifying matches on the night, Jason Reed will face off with Sterling Oil’s Damien. The first-ever Undisputed Champion will be looking to regain singles gold but he has to get through the cheeky Jason Reed first. Jason is a valiant competitor looking to make his mark in the wrestling business, and a win over a former Undisputed Champion will certainly help him do just that. However where Damien goes, Sterling Oil are usually close behind. Whoever wins here will face another former Undisputed Champion in Bingo Ballance in the Quarterfinals. Bingo already disposed of Alan so will have no problem of eliminating another Sterling Oil member en route to becoming the inaugural Tri-Counties Champion.
WrestleZone Tri-Counties Title Tournament: Qualifiers
Zach Dynamite vs Chris Archer
In the final Qualifier in this 16-man tournament, Zach Dynamite will go one on one with Chris Archer. Zach was originally scheduled to face Lou King Sharp in the Qualifiers, however the sexiest man in professional wrestling has ‘more important’ things to do. The Tri-Counties Title is something that could do wonders for both of these men, especially Zach. A win here will propel them towards a match with Shawn Johnson in the Quarterfinals next year, another youngster proving his worth everytime he competes. Chris was angry about not being included, but now has the chance to showcase himself against Dynamite.
Shawn Johnson vs Bryan Tucker
This year’s Christmas Brawl will see former tag partners collide as Shawn Johnson and Bryan Tucker do battle once again. This will be Shawn’s second match of the night, so depending on which match goes first, it could cost Sterling Oil the tag belts. These two have been at each other’s throats non-stop since Tucker’s return at March’s Regal Rumble event. Last Christmas Chaos saw the breakup of The Hotshots, as Shawn decided to join Sterling Oil. One year on, will this rivalry finally come to a close?
British Rules Match
Aspen Faith w/Sammii Jayne vs Jimbo Bannon w/Ross McTavish
Christmas Chaos will play host to a British Rules match, as Aspen Faith takes on latest rival Jimbo Bannon. 3 rounds of 3 minutes each, the only way to win is to have 2 pinfalls, 2 submissions or a knockout. Aspen’s second for the evening will of course be Sammii Jayne while Jimbo Bannon has enlisted the Evening Express’ very own Ross McTavish, making his first appearance at a WrestleZone event in over 2 years. The last time WrestleZone hosted one of these style of matches was back at Aberdeen Anarchy 2014, the last time we saw Ross, as Aspen faced old foe Len Ironside, coming out on top 2-1. As we’ve seen between these two men before, they’re before technically gifted and will use their submission tricks to get the victory here.
First Former WWE Superstar To Be Revealed
A few weeks back, WretestleZone announced on their Facebook page that they had signed the first former WWE superstar set to appear at Aberdeen Anarchy 2017. This Saturday at Christmas Chaos, they can finally reveal who that person is. This is a show not to be missed!
Unveiling of the Tri-Counties Championship
WrestleZone management have announced they will be revealing the brand new Tri-Counties Championship this Saturday at Christmas Chaos, as well as announcing the official date for the first champion to be crowned. Exciting times ahead in WrestleZone.
There are two ways to gain entry to the show; either purchase an e-ticket from http://www.ringsideworld.co.uk or by paying at the door, priced £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s. Doors at the community centre open at 6.30pm, with the action getting underway way at 7pm.
