WrestleZone’s annual Halloween spooktacular takes place this Saturday from the Kincorth Community Centre with quite possibly the most talked about main event for quite some time as “The Revolutionary” Damien finally challenges former ally Shawn Johnson for his Undisputed Title.

Undisputed WrestleZone Championship
Damien vs Shawn Johnson (c)
The main event for the show will see Shawn Johnson put his Undisputed Championship on the line against his former Sterling Oil ally Damien. For the better part of 2017, Damien was on a long losing streak but was still given the chance to face the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate at Battle of the Nations last month. After coming up short, The Revolutionary decided to end his ties with Sterling Oil by superkicking Shawn Johnson at the end of the show. Since then, Damien’s gone on to defeat both William and Alan Sterling in Keith and Brechin respectively. In Balmedie earlier this month, Johnson and new member Crusher Craib defeated Damien and surprise partner Johnny Lions in tag team action. Following Shawn’s comments towards Damien’s daughter in a recent promo, The Revolutionary is more than ready for this very personal encounter.

WrestleZone Tri-Counties Championship
Bradley Evans vs Aspen Faith (c)
The Tri-Counties Championship is also on the line on Saturday as “The King of Catch” Aspen Faith puts his gold on the line against a man who is celebrating his first year of being a wrestler, Bradley Evans. Bradley made his debut at last year’s show in Kincorth, competing in the main event 10-man Battle Royal to determine a #1 contender to Scotty Swift’s Undisputed Championship. After making his official main roster debut in February earlier this year, the WrestleZone Training Academy graduate has beaten some top names including first ever Undisputed Champion Damien. Since winning the gold this past June at Aberdeen Anarchy, Faith has gone through some of WrestleZone’s very best to retain the title and young Bradley Evans is on that list. After coming up short in his first championship shot at the start of July in Ellon, Evans will be hoping luck is on his side this time around in the hopes of becoming champion.

Halloween Brawl
Zach Dynamite vs Andy Wild vs Blue Thunder
The Halloween Brawl returns this Saturday as Zach Dynamite, Andy Wild and Blue Thunder face off. The rules are simple; any and all Halloween-related items can be used as weapons. Last year’s epic encounter between Cysto, The Super Executioner and Lord Mr Malice saw the use of baseball bats, broomsticks and multiple other Cysto’s. This year, we have three of the most experienced WrestleZone grapplers in the annual match. Halloween Hijinx brings fond memories for Andy Wild, as last year’s event witnessed him end the 525-day reign of Scotty Swift. Despite being in a, let’s be honest, less-important match this time around, the unstoppable Englishman will look to continue his dominance in the WrestleZone.

Johnny Lions, Chris Archer & Bryan Tucker vs Sterling Oil (Crusher Craib & The Sterling Brothers (Alan Sterling & William Sterling))
Six man tag team action is also set for Saturday as three of WrestleZone’s most popular stars in Johnny Lions, Chris Archer and Bryan Tucker team up to take on Crusher Craib and the reigning WrestleZone Tag Team Champions The Sterling Brothers. All three of the fan favourite team have history with Sterling Oil, with Lions declining the offer to join Sterling Oil at last year’s Summerhill Showdown and igniting an 18-month rivalry with Damien, Archer recently losing the Tag Team Titles back to The Sterling Brothers with his Rejected partner Mikkey Vago being put on the sidelines with a concussion and Tucker having a fantastic rivalry last year with former partner Shawn Johnson. But they’re opponents for this Saturday are quite the trio. The Sterling Brothers, as mentioned, recently won the Tag Team Titles for a record-breaking fifth time at Battle of the Nations. Their partner for this match is a man on a path of destruction right now in Crusher Craib. Since returning, The Creator of Carnage has put Scotty Swift on the sidelines with a severe concussion following several Big Boots and a Curb Stomp last month. Sterling Oil are riding a wave of momentum right now, despite the recent loss of Damien from their ranks, and I expect nothing less this weekend.

Mr P vs Nathan North
Mr P finally gets the chance to square off against “Vintage” Nathan North this Saturday. After North cost Mr P his Battle of the Nations Match against Andy Wild last month, claiming that he should of been representing Scotland, P was left fuming. After North cost Mr P a further two matches (a Tri-Counties Championship match against Aspen Faith in Brechin and a Triple Threat Match against Jason Reed in Balmedie), the man who embraces the chaos will be ready at the opportunity to get his hands on The Vintage One. Ever since introducing Jeeves Winchester as his new manager at Battle of the Nations, North has scored some huge victories against the likes of former Tag Team Champion Blue Thunder and fan favourite Zach Dynamite. Can he pick up another huge victory this Saturday?

Sammii Jayne vs Debbie Sharpe
The last match signed for Saturday’s show sees the return of women’s wrestling as “The Queen of Catch” Sammii Jayne faces off against Debbie Sharpe. These two know each other inside out, having faced off and teamed up on a regular basis. The last time we saw Sammii in action was at June’s Aberdeen Anarchy, where she defeated Viper in a Tables Match before being laid out after the match by Viper and her original opponent for the show, Melina. Since then, she’s helped Aspen Faith hang on to his Tri-Counties Championship. The last time we saw Debbie Sharpe on a main show was back in Newtonhill losing to Sammii, although she did make a few appearances at Union Square where she delivered a stiff superkick to Aspen. These two always put on a fantastic showing, no matter what promotion it’s for.

Finally, WrestleZone management will reveal the first details on next year’s Aberdeen Anarchy this coming Saturday. With it being WrestleZone’s 10 year anniversary, this is set to be a monumental show that is not to be missed.

With it being Halloween on Tuesday, fans are encouraged to dress up for the show. Prizes will be dished out for the best costumes.
Battle of the Nations 2017, featuring the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate, will be available to buy for the first time on DVD priced at £8. The DVD will also be available to buy online in the weeks following the show.
Tickets for the show are available from www.ringsideworld.co.uk, priced at £12 for adults and £10 for under 14s. Fans can also pay at the door on the night. Doors open at 6:30pm, with the action getting underway at 7pm.
