Who Will Be Santino Marella’s Opponent At WrestleZone Aberdeen Anarchy X?

On Saturday, March 24th, at Regal Rumble, WrestleZone Management Representative Chris MacDonald announced the first name for Aberdeen Anarchy X taking place at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen on September 1st. He is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, former WWE United States Champion and two time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a title he won on his first night when he defeated Umaga in Milan, Italy.

Since the announcement of Santino speculation has begun on who his opponent is going to be. Let’s throw out some options.

Aberdeen Anarchy has seen some dream matches occur like Lou King Sharp versus Hornswoggle and Grado versus Scotty 2 Hotty. Putting on first time matches that makes the Beach Ballroom the place to be to see something truly special.

If we’re talking about a one on one match then there would be none bigger than Santino against ‘The Chubby Wee Chancer’ himself, Grado. A match that was rumored to take place, or at least teased, in Impact Wrestling last year that never happened. Two excellent comedy wrestlers who have both mastered entertaining the crowds. A match that has never happened, as far as I am aware, ever. If not ever, certainly never in the United Kingdom. A big match that would have the masses flocking to Aberdeen on September 1st.

If a singles match isn’t the way to go then let’s take a look at tag team, the current WrestleZone Tag Team Champions are Proper Mental, the charismatic pairing of Lou King Sharp and Krieger. So a team up of Santino and Grado against these two, whether or not the titles are involved, would be hilarious in nature.

But what if Grado is unavailable? Last year Andy Wild was on the receiving end of a Stink Face from Rikishi, something that fans are quick to remind him of at WrestleZone events. The new WrestleZone Tri-Counties Champion would certainly relish in embarassing a former WWE star to make up for his pain last year.

Or how about Santino teaming with Mr P? Mr P has a habit of calling on former WWE stars for back up at Aberdeen Anarchy events like Rikishi, Chris Masters and X-Pac. Their opponents would be open with Mr P’s former tag team partner Kaden Garrick making his return on Saturday there must be some unfinished business there, there looked to be some fraying on the old thread between Mr P and Johnny Lions, and there’s something still stirring about with Andy Wild.

So that’s a few options or guesses out there. What we do know is WrestleZone will have a huge show on September 1st at the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen and that the ‘Milan Miracle’ Santino Marella will be there. Who would you like to see Santino face?

Tickets are still available.
