Tables Match
Bryan Tucker & The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago) vs Aspen Faith & Sterling Oil (Crusher Craib & William Sterling)

The main event for this year’s Proving Grounds will see a huge Tables Match as Bryan Tucker teams with The Rejected to face Aspen Faith and Sterling Oil members Crusher Craib and William Sterling. Between these six men, there are 3 Undisputed Championship reigns, 2 Tri-Counties Championship reigns, 13 Tag Team Championship reigns and 4 Regal Rumble wins. All of these men are staples on the WrestleZone roster, but somehow only one of them is competing up and down the country on a regular basis in Aspen Faith. Crusher Craib and Chris Archer have both wrestled for Discovery Wrestling, while William Sterling and Bryan Tucker both competed for SWE in the early stages of their careers. The Tables Match stipulation may favour Crusher Craib given his brute strength, but you never know what to expect when Chris Archer starts flying about the ring!

Cysto 1 vs Richard R. Russell

A weird match to say the least is scheduled for Saturday, as Cysto 1 faces this year’s Regal Rumble winner Richard R. Russell. When he was first announced for the Rumble Match, Russell refused to get between the ropes and had to be carried to ringside by a group of wrestlers. What no-one saw coming was Richard R. Russell actually winning the whole thing, last eliminating former client Damien with an assist from Undisputed Champion Shawn Johnson. However, WrestleZone management then received word that Russell now wants to wrestle at Proving Grounds, but only on his terms. His opponent will be a former WrestleZone Tag Team Champion in Cysto 1 (or 2, no-one really knows these days). This will certainly be an interesting match, and you’d have to imagine Damien will be keeping an eye on it!

Bradley Evans vs Prince Asad

WrestleZone Training Academy graduate Bradley Evans will be in action on Saturday, as he takes on a man making his return to WrestleZone in the form of PBW Academy’s Prince Asad. Evans has made a lasting impression since debuting in WrestleZone, defeating names including Damien and William Sterling. After his training partner Zach Dynamite turned on him in January, his focus has been on getting revenge on Fully Loaded with their previous two matches both ending in a count out. This match will help him get some momentum heading towards a third match between the pair on May 19th in Ellon. But he’s got to get past Prince Asad first. Asad debuted with WrestleZone at their outdoors show at Union Square this past June and suitably impressed management enough to be welcomed back. He was recently announced as a participant in the Drew Galloway Invitational Tournament taking place next week, with Jason Reed as his first round opponent. A last chance to leave an impression before the tournament.

Dylan Angel vs Nathan North w/Jeeves Winchester

Another PBW Academy star will be in action at Proving Grounds, as Dylan Angel makes his WrestleZone debut to face Nathan North. Dylan has been making his name known around Scotland, using his high flying abilities to beat opponents. He competed in last year’s inaugural Asylum Invitational Tournament, although he was eliminated in the first round by The Sam Barbour Experience. His first opponent in WrestleZone will be “Vintage” Nathan North. Since making his official main roster debut last year, Nathan has beaten some of WrestleZone’s biggest names, including Mr P, Zach Dynamite and Blue Thunder, but he’s never come across someone with the daredevil mindset that Dylan Angel has. A potential match of the night contender for sure!

Lord Michael of Graham vs Kaden Garrick

The greatest wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots makes his singles debut at Proving Grounds, as Lord Michael of Graham faces Kaden Garrick. Michael debuted in this year’s Regal Rumble accompanied by the returning Mr Malice, who was dressed in a sharp purple suit. Before he could do a single move, he was tossed out by Alan Sterling, the person who owns the singlet Michael had on. His first singles match will see him face two-time Tag Team Champion Kaden Garrick, who made his return as the surprise entrant in the Rumble. Kaden hasn’t been seen since April 2017, but started spearing everyone in sight as soon as he made his return in March. The spear will stand no chance against His Royal Highness on Saturday. Why? Because he’s majestic!

Ted O’Keefe & Dino Del Monte vs Scotty Swift & Blue Thunder

Dino Del Monte returns to action this weekend as he teams with his associate Ted O’Keefe to face two men that helped train him, Scotty Swift and Blue Thunder. Dino made his debut at The Regal Rumble, beating Blue Thunder on the pre-show (with help from an Arn Anderson-esque spinebuster from Ted) before being eliminated by Crusher Craib in The Regal Rumble Match. When they’re not in the ring, Scotty Swift and Blue Thunder help train the stars of tomorrow at the WrestleZone Training Academy. Dino and Ted have said they’re coming to take over, but they can’t take Swift and Thunder lightly. A tough test for the young pair.

The evening’s guest general manager Kirsten McDonald will also be making a big announcement regarding Grado!

Entry to this show is free! All that WrestleZone ask is that you make a donation of your choice upon entry, with all proceeds going to Friends of ANCHOR. Doors open at 7pm, with the action kicking off at 7:30.
