The last stop on the road to Battle of the Nations comes this Saturday as WrestleZone return to the Victoria Hall in Ellon for another action-packed night of wrestling. A huge three way main event is in store, along with five other exciting contests. What can the Ellon fans expect to see this year as WrestleZone make their annual stop?

Triple Threat Match for the Undisputed WrestleZone Championship
Scotty Swift vs Shawn Johnson (c) vs Aspen Faith

Shawn Johnson returns to action to defend his Undisputed Championship in a colossal Triple Threat Match against Scotty Swift and Aspen Faith. After Shawn stole the championship in his first reign from Swift, with the help of Crusher Craib of course, The Red Haired Warrior has been hellbent on getting back in to the title picture. Having held the title for a combined 616 days over two reigns, Swift is one of the most dominating champions in WrestleZone history. Shawn’s second challenger will be a man who is yet to hold the gold in Aspen Faith. In the past year alone, Aspen has enjoyed two reigns with the Tri-Counties Championship but has now returned to WrestleZone’s tag division alongside Kings of Catch partner Lewis Girvan. The one title left for Faith to win to become a Triple Crown Champion is the Undisputed Championship; will all that come to fruition in Ellon?

Crusher Craib vs Chris Archer

Since making his in-ring return from a career-threatening injury last September, Crusher Craib is yet to be pinned or submitted. No-one has been able to slay The Creator of Carnage, with the likes of Scotty Swift, Bradley Evans and Johnny Lions all failing to get the win over him. Chris Archer will hope to put a stop to that in Ellon when the two meet in singles competition. Alongside Mikkey Vago, Archer dominated the WrestleZone tag team division last year as the pair became three-time Tag Team Champions. In one on one matches, Crusher and Archer have faced off on four separate occasions with the latter yet to score a victory; will it be fifth time lucky for The Outcast?

Bryan Tucker vs Andy Wild

After Andy Wild’s controversial victory in Westhill, Bryan Tucker gets another shot at Wild in what appears to be non-title competition. Andy has completely changed his career over the past two years, once again becoming a permanent fixture on the rosters of PWE, BCW and ICW. Following on from ending Scotty Swift’s 525-day reign as Undisputed Champion, Wild became a Tri-Counties Champion at the end of March and moved one step closer to becoming WrestleZone’s first Triple Crown Champion. Another man who is close to earning that feat is Bryan Tucker, with reigns Undisputed and Tag Team Championships under his belt. Although the Tri-Counties Championship doesn’t appear to be on the line this time around, Tucker has the chance to earn another shot at the title as we head in to the summer months.

Zach Dynamite vs Bradley Evans

Former friends will collide once again in Ellon when Zach Dynamite squares off with Bradley Evans. Dynamite finally captured his first taste of gold last November when he won the Tri-Counties Championship but after losing it to back to Aspen Faith at the start of the year, he snapped and turned his back on Bradley. The two have since faced each other twice, with both ending in a count out as the score is 1-1. Both men will be desperate to reenter the Tri-Counties Championship picture as we approach Battle of the Nations. Will there be a decisive winner in their third outing?

Mikkey Vago vs Nathan North

Mikkey Vago and Nathan North will face off once again in Ellon, with North coming in to this with a victory over Vago from Stonehaven a few weeks ago. It hasn’t been the best few weeks for The Rejected member, losing the Tag Team Championships to Proper Mental and then failing in their rematch this past Saturday in Westhill. On the other hand, Nathan North has been on a bit of a roll, with victories over Vago and the debuting Dylan Angel. Several WrestleZone stars have been saying that North is someone to keep your eye on, and how could you disagree? Another victory over a decorated WrestleZone tag star will boost The North Star right up the rankings, with a possible Tri-Counties Championship coming his way in the near future.

Blue Thunder & Mr P vs William Sterling & Dino Del Monte

The last match signed sees tag team action with Blue Thunder and Mr P set to take on William Sterling and recent training academy graduate Dino Del Monte. Blue Thunder has recent history with both opponents, with William Sterling turning on him in 2015 and two straight losses to newcomer Dino Del Monte. Mr P is also no stranger to Sterling, losing the Tag Team Championships to him and his brother Alan. Perhaps an odd match when written down, but it won’t hurt to have one more chance to get a victory ahead of Battle of the Nations.

Tickets can be bought from www.ringsideworld.co.uk at the usual price of Β£12 for adults and Β£10 for under 14s, with fans also able to pay at the door on the night. The online-exclusive family of four ticket is also available, with these priced at Β£35. Doors open at 7pm, with the first match starting at 7:30.
