It’s a double-length Looking At The Scots this week as I was away to Aberdeen Anarchy X last weekend. There wasn’t much action from any Scots on last Saturday’s edition so it would’ve been pointless doing separate posts any way. Anyway though, let’s look at what Joe Hendry and Grado have been up to!

Joe Hendry

Episode 6 – A battle between fierce rivals was the only Scots focus for last week as Joe Hendry took on Martin Kirby in a Submissions Match. This match type did of course favour Hendry, seeing as he is an experienced amateur wrestler. Some good ground game from The Prestigious One, although Kirby did have quite a tight neck lock synched in at one point. A Hendry Lock from Joe gained him the victory as he finally got one over on Martin Kirby.

Episode 7 – Hendry then featured in the main event of this week’s episode, teaming with Justin Sysum to take on Sha Samuels and WOS Champion Rampage. Hendry did his part here, but did appear to take the brunt of the beating from the champ and his partner. Nevertheless though, he did manage to connect with a Freak of Nature that allowed Sysum to use a 450 splash for the win.

Grado

Grado returned to action this week, taking on Martin Kirby. Seeing these two facing off on paper, you would expect it to be a fantastic comedy match. It didn’t disappoint, with Grado constantly outsmarting Kirby. The contents of Grado’s bumbag were revealed, with his toothbrush inside. That toothbrush went to some dark, dark places, going in Kirby’s trunks and Grado’s armpits. Poor Kirby had it in his mouth. That didn’t derail him though, as he picked up the win by sitting on top of Grado and grabbing hold of the ropes.

Two rather good episodes in total. Alpha Bad becoming the first WOS Tag Team Champions was a personal highlight. Nathan Cruz being forced to leave is a bit of a blow, love his work. Apart from that, a good two weeks for WOS Wrestling!

Next week will see Ayesha take on Viper, British Bulldog Jr. facing off against one half of the first ever Tag Team Champions in Iestyn Rees, and an Intergender Match as Stevie Boy and Kay Lee Ray go two on two with Will Ospreay and Bea Priestley!
