This year’s WrestleZone Regal Rumble takes place on March 16th at The Northern Hotel in Aberdeen. Usually we’d have an idea of who could be victorious but because of the sharp change in direction following the arrival of PAC and Aberdeen Anarchy being pulled forward we’ve entered into the unknown… and I like it. Previous years I’ve been able to guess who would be the winner through the aid of this handy five pick format but this year puts that streak at risk. Who will be in the main event of Aberdeen Anarchy? I’ll give it a shot…
1. Jason Reed
At this stage it’s hard to look past Jason Reed’s plan to “Make WrestleZone Great Again”. His cabinet looms in the shadows and we don’t know who is part of his crew behind the scenes other than Agent W. Lots of speculation has followed here at SWN Towers but maybe as the Regal Rumble draws closer we’ll be enlightened as to who is part of Reed’s faction. All this can lead Reed to the main event of Aberdeen Anarchy which would mark an incredible rise considering he was in the pre-show last year.
2. Grado
Why not? Grado is undefeated at Aberdeen Anarchy and has never held the Undisputed WrestleZone Championship. If Damien doesn’t make it to Anarchy as champion I can definitely see Grado stepping up to a Crusher Craib, for example, to have a big Hulk vs Andre style build up. It would certainly be main event worthy.
3. Zach Dynamite
Damien and Zach Dynamite have had wars in the past, the two-time Tri-Counties Champion has had a pretty good last 18 months and since Aberdeen Anarchy last year he’s had the back up of Bradley Evans keeping an eye on things. Put Dynamite down as a dark horse to win, at the very least he’ll be down to the final few.
4. Andy Wild
The former Undisputed WrestleZone Champion is one of the best in the country today, as I’ve pointed out on many occasions, his Aberdeen Anarchy record isn’t very good at all but the power of stovies would stop many on the roster being able to throw him over the top rope. It would be a wild night for the leader of the Wild Boys to book his way into the main event and turn around past losses at Aberdeen Anarchy.
5. Crusher Craib
I mentioned Crusher Craib earlier in a scenario involving Grado, but you can’t deny that Craib has had the most experience at the Regal Rumble. Three wins, no doubt has a big number of eliminations to go with it. Crusher would probably be the biggest man in the match, other than Andy Wild (if he was taking part). Craib has been champing at the bit to be Undisputed WrestleZone Champion again, especially considering his last foray into the main event of Aberdeen Anarchy saw him leave on a stretcher, costing him a year of his career. Redemption will be on Crusher’s mind, which will be a worry for everyone else involved. Once “The Creator of Carnage” starts going he’s a juggernaut of raw power and leaves destruction in wake.
There we go, five picks that could be heading to the main event of Aberdeen Anarchy on April 13th to face whomever the champion is. Who’s your pick?
