Reckless Intent Wrestling return to Gilmerton for the second time this year on Sunday, the Gilmerton Miners Club in Edinburgh will once again be the venue for this afternoon of family friendly wrestling. A great line up of matches are in store for those in attendance, including the return of Ring of Honor star Joe Hendry.

Jam O’Malley vs Jarek Nowak

Former tag team Bear & Beers finally collide. If Jarek Nowak makes it to Saturday with the RI Hardcore Championship in hand he will be defending the title against former best friend, now sworn enemy, Jam O’Malley. O’Malley was fired from Reckless Intent Wrestling back in March due to losing a Livingston Street Fight to Keiran Ure thanks to Jarek Nowak’s betrayal. It wouldn’t be long before O’Malley was back by winning the RI Hardcore Championship and by purchasing 50% of the company much to the chagrin of now co-owner Ure. After months of trouble with his brother Deacon Awesome, O’Malley is finally tying up one more loose end. If it’s for the RI Hardcore Championship the 24/7 rule will be active so if this wasn’t going to be chaos before the title was even considered there’s a good chance that a couple title changes will take place throughout the evening spawning from this match.

The Odd Squad (Freddie The Fanboy & Craig Forsyth) vs The Enlightened (Rob Mills & Jackie Grady)

When Reckless Intent Wrestling return to Livingston in November for End Of An Era, The Odd Squad get a chance at the RI Tag Team Champions Delsin Dayre and Brandon Adams, Divinity. Before they get their hands on Divinity they must battle Divinity’s Enlightened team of Rob Mills and Jackie Grady. The former Headbanders will look to cause the fun duo of Craig Forsyth and Freddie The Fanboy some despair before they can make it to End Of An Era on November 2nd. The unorthodox team of Freddie and Craig are firm fan favourites in Reckless Intent Wrestling but come up against a more experienced team. Expect shenanigans abound. This could very well be one of the last times The Odd Squad are together because if they don’t defeat Divinity on November 2nd they will have to disband.

RI Heavyweight Championship – Dickie Divers (c) vs Alex Webb

Alex Webb got his first taste of gold recently with a (very) brief spell as RI Hardcore Champion, now he has a chance to win the big one against Dickie Divers who has been RI Heavyweight Champion since October last year. Saturday will mark his 378th day as champion, the longest RI Heavyweight Championship reign according to our records. Young Alex Webb has been more involved in tag team action recently with Steven ‘Air’ Myles and will be coming in against the more experienced Dickie Divers who hasn’t seen a shortcut he didn’t take. Divers is on a collision course with Reckless Rumble winner Theo Doros on November 9th in Tillicoultry and may be looking past Alex Webb when coming into this match, but in order to be part of that showdown he has to escape Gilmerton with the title in hand.

Liam Thomson vs Brandon Adams

Thomson returns to Reckless Intent Wrestling for the first time since August 2018 (according to cagematch) when he comes up against the leader of Divinity and one half of the RI Tag Team Champions Brandon Adams. Adams has a RI Tag Team Championship defence to look ahead to at End Of An Era and may be distracted when he takes on one of the best active wrestlers in the country today, Edinburgh’s own Liam Thomson. Adams will have to be on top of his game if he wants to rock the veteran and can’t let those distractions be a factor at all.

Michael Chase vs Joe Hendry

In one of Michael Chase’s final matches, Chase comes up against an old adversary in current Ring of Honor star Joe Hendry. Chase defeated Hendry for the RI Heavyweight Championship back in 2016 in a war with the rematch being just as hard hitting which once again saw Chase victorious. This will be Chase’s penultimate match in Reckless Intent Wrestling before facing Theo Doros on November 2nd before bowing out at Discovery Wrestling the next day when he faces former WWE United States and Tag Team Champion MVP at The Jam House in Edinburgh. It won’t be easy, Joe Hendry has been getting bigger, better, faster and stronger, he won’t be concerned about this being one of Chase’s final matches he will be more concerned about getting that victory. Of the singles matches recorded between Hendry and Chase they are currently sitting at three wins each (again, cagematch) so this is the rubber match.

The Jackal vs Grum

The final match announced is The Jackal returning to Reckless Intent Wrestling and he is going after the biggest, meanest, angriest man on the RI roster all in the aid of making an impact. Grum, who is angry after being eliminated from The Reckless Rumble and suffering a broken nose in the process, isn’t around to play. This will be ugly.

Doors open at 1:30pm and the show starts at 2pm. Tickets are still available at www.reckless-intent.com/buy-tickets which will no doubt be limited at this stage.
