On Sunday evening, Fierce Females are back at The Shed in Glasgow for their first show of 2020 – Disgusting Animals. The show will feature an eight-woman single-elimination tournament to crown a new Scottish Women’s Champion, with former champ Sammii Jayne unable to sign for all of Fierce Females’ 2020 dates due to commitments away from wrestling. As a result, eight of the UK’s best will duke it out in a bid to crown themselves the brand new Scottish Women’s Champion, joining the history books alongside the likes of Kay Lee Ray and Viper/Piper Niven.

In the build-up to this event, we’ve had you covered for content – an Entrant Breakdown, a Bracket Breakdown, and a fan poll have all gone up on the site, meaning you can cast your votes on who you think will be leaving Glasgow as our new Scottish Women’s Champion!

The Tournament We Promised You In December – Quarterfinals
Gisele Shaw vs Angel Hayze

Throughout 2019, Angel Hayze made her presence felt in Fierce Females, debuting for the company at their first show of the year, Be Your Own Hero. Her first victory in an FF ring was against Isla Dawn, an NXT UK star – what a way to start your tenure in a new promotion. Even though she failed to become the #1 contender for the Scottish Women’s Championship that same night (and the fact she didn’t actually pick up another victory in 2019, which is a surprising fact I discovered while doing research for this), ‘The Young Lioness’ remains one of the company’s fastest rising stars. She comes up against the ever-impressive Gisele Shaw in this match, with ‘The Quintessential Diva’ making her Fierce Females debut back in June with a loss to Lana Austin. While she’s only had one FF appearance thus far, Shaw has been making waves all over the UK, being a former Women’s Champion in Ironfist Wrestling while also recently capturing the Pro Wrestling: EVE Tag Team Championships alongside Sammii Jayne. Both ladies will be desperate to pick up a victory in Fierce Females seeing as their win/loss records aren’t exactly in their favour right now, with it being Hayze’s first in eleven months and Shaw’s first ever. History.

The Tournament We Promised You In December – Quarterfinals
Rosie Nyte vs Chantal Jordan

At Welcome to the Hellmouth on September 1st, both Rosie Nyte and Chantal Jordan made their debuts, with Nyte losing to Taonga on the pre-show while Jordan picked up a win over the returning Rhio, who was replacing Kanji. Seeing as she was so impressive, Fierce Females management have decided to give Rosie a huge opportunity as she enters the tournament, with the reigning Shield Pro Wrestling Almost Pro Women’s Champion hoping to make a huge impression on the audience. She’s fastly rising up the ranks of Scottish wrestling, so this is a great chance for her to be showcased on one of the biggest platforms available in the country. It’ll be easier said than done though, as she comes up against the ever-impressive Chantal Jordan. ‘The Baddest Girl on the Planet’ has become a huge asset to the roster down in England’s Kamikaze Pro, being a former two-time Live Champion. In Fierce Females though, Jordan had a massive chance at the company’s first show outside of Glasgow at Avenging Angels in Liverpool, with a loss to former Lucha Underground star Ivelisse. It may have been a loss, but Chantal put in a mammoth effort that night. Two names eager to become huge names on the British wrestling scene – capturing the Scottish Women’s Championship would do wonders for either of these ladies’ careers.

The Tournament We Promised You In December – Quarterfinals
Dani Luna vs Hannah Taylor

Fierce Females are always bringing in the best possible talent from around the UK to use on their shows, and that trend will continue at Disgusting Animals as Dani Luna makes her Scottish wrestling debut to tangle with Hannah Taylor. Dani has been making a name for herself all over the UK, really bursting onto the scene over the last few months with her appearances for the likes of ATTACK! Pro Wrestling and the ever-popular Schadenfreude & Friends, while she has also signed an NXT UK contract. The current Women’s Champion in Dragon Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling SOUL, and Pro Wrestling Chaos (they call it the Maiden of Chaos Championship) shows just how good Luna truly is. Her opponent on the other hand is someone who I know very little about. Hannah Taylor made her Fierce Females debut on the pre-show for Avenging Angels, losing to fellow debutant Lizzy Evo. Aside from that, I only know what she was trained by The Grizzled Young Veterans, and that she’s wrestled for the Liverpool-based TNT Extreme Wrestling. She could be a dark horse to win the tournament, but seeing as her first round opponent is Dani Luna, I wouldn’t bet on it.

The Tournament We Promised You In December – Quarterfinals
Sammie Jo vs Alexxis Falcon

Rounding out the opening round, we’ve got Sammie Jo taking on Alexxis Falcon. Both women had decent 2019s in Fierce Females, with Jo defeating Emily Hayden in the pair’s epic I Do Match at Exorcise Your Rite to earn herself an Internet Championship opportunity against Debbie Keitel at Avenging Angels. Even though ‘Sparkling’ Sammie would lose that bout, she showed she has exactly what it takes to make a champion in FF. Meanwhile, Falcon has defended the FutureShock Wrestling Women’s Champion to the company on two separate occasions, going to a Double Disqualification with Ayesha Raymond at Welcome to the Hellmouth (Ayesha’s German Wrestling Federation Women’s Championship was also on the line here), while she then retained the title against Amy Allonsy at Avenging Angels. It’s been a decent Fierce Females career thus far for ‘The Iron Queen’ – personally, I can’t see that momentum stopping any time soon.

In addition, we will also see both the semifinals and the finals (or just the finals, if it’s a Fatal Four Way final) of the tournament that will see the crowning of a brand new Scottish Women’s Champion!

Amy Allonsy w/Toastie The Toaster vs Ayesha Raymond

As previously mentioned, Alexxis Falcon faced Ayesha Raymond in a Winner Takes All Match at Welcome to the Hellmouth. Following the match ending in a Double Count Out though, ‘The Female Predator’ attempted to dish out some more pain to the then-FutureShock Wrestling Women’s Champion. Luckily for Alexxis, Amy Allonsy wasn’t having any of it, as she saved ‘The Iron Queen’ from being seriously hurt at the hands of Ayesha. A match has since been scheduled for Disgusting Animals, however, the Irish standout won’t be coming to Glasgow alone as Allonsy will be joined by none other than Toastie The Toaster. Emily Hayden may be fired from the Fierce Females roster, but her beloved toaster ally that was gifted to her at Exorcise Your Rite is most certainly not. Who even knows how Amy got her hands on Toastie in the first place. The question now is will ‘The Best, The Beautiful, The Only’ somehow find her way into The Shed to reclaim her number one bestest friend in the whole world?

Myla Grace vs Rhio

At Disgusting Animals, another talent will make her Fierce Females debut as Myla Grace heads to Glasgow straight out of Northern Ireland. As is sometimes the case with debuting performers, there’s not much I know about her, but after having a scroll through her social media pages to write this paragraph, it seems as if she’s slowly been rising through the ranks. She had a huge match with NXT UK’s Isla Dawn last July, and has appeared for some huge Irish promotions such as Pro Wrestling Ulster and Phoenix Wrestling. In her Fierce Females debut, she’ll be coming up against Rhio, who made her FF return at Welcome to the Hellmouth as she stepped in for the injured Kanji against Chantal Jordan. ‘The Braided Bruiser’ has had a wonderful career thus far, winning championships in Preston City Wrestling, Tidal Championship Wrestling, and British Empire Wrestling, but championship gold has eluded her thus far while she’s been in Scotland. Perhaps a victory at Disgusting Animals could boost her up the rankings to challenge for either the Scottish Women’s Championship or the Internet Championship.

Pre-Show
Sara Marie-Taylor vs Hollie Barlow

The pre-show for Disgusting Animals will see the return of a lady who helped build the Fierce Females brand as Sara Marie-Taylor heads off to Glasgow to face Hollie Barlow. ‘The Siren’ was a regular for Fierce Females from 2012-2015, although her win-loss record wasn’t anything too special (4-7, according to Cagematch). She did make an appearance at the Fierce Females comeback show in October 2017, defeating Sammie Jo but after losing the W3L Women’s Championship, Sara announced her retirement from wrestling. But dear readers, this is a wrestling retirement we’re talking about, which meant Sara made her return to the ring this past November, wrestling for both Source Wrestling and Reckless Intent Wrestling. Now that she’s back in Fierce Females though, she’s looking to get her name back on the map, with Hollie Barlow being given a huge opportunity. The FutureShock regular debuted for the company at Avenging Angels losing to Rhio, and now that she’s got the chance to face a pioneer of Fierce Females, this could be the proper start of something new for Barlow.

Tickets to Disgusting Animals are available from Fierce Females’ official website, priced £12 for general admission, £20 for early entry (which includes early entry, an exclusive pre-show match and a photo opportunity with the tournament entrants), and £40 for VIP (which includes access to the balcony, a Fierce Females logo t-shirt or a signed event poster, early entry, an exclusive pre-show match, and a photo opportunity with the tournament entrants). Fans can also pay at the door on the night for general admission tickets – these will be £15 on the door. Doors open at 6pm for both early entry and VIP ticket holders, and 6:30 for general admission ticket holders, with the action kicking off at 7pm!
