Welcome to another edition of Future Shock, where we analyze the future of Scottish professional wrestling. Their potential will shock you!

Professional wrestling, like any other sport, has a lot of risks associated with it in terms of injuries. Injuries can set back any athlete’s career. However one man who has overcame two serious injuries and is on the run that looks to catapult him into stardom, that man is Logan Smith.

Another promising prospect from the PBW Academy, at 19 years old and having made his debut in late 2015, the young man has battled his way through two major injuries throughout his young career. The first injury he suffered was to his shoulder. He dislocated, and fractured the body part, alongside all the ligaments inside it. He was on and off wrestling for two years before getting surgery and taking a year out. After coming back and gaining some momentum through PBW Academy showcase matches and other appearances, disaster struck again, as Smith broke his shin, having to take 6 months out to recover.

After recently returning from the latter injury, Smith answered Jack Jester’s open challenge in Larbert. Although he put up a great fight against a great opponent, the young and scrappy underdog couldn’t quite overcome the veteran. In the match, Smith displayed his fire and natural athletic ability, using high flying offense and meaningful strikes, taking the former ICW world champion to great lengths in order to be defeated.

Other high profile opponents for the young man include the likes of former ICW World Heavyweight and Zero G Champion, BT Gunn, as well as one half of the current ICW Tag Team Champions, Krieger. Not being a stranger to big spotlights, Logan Smith has performed for the likes of Premier British Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Innovation, and British Championship Wrestling in Scotland, however, he’s also wrestled in Europe for Copenhagen Championship Wrestling.

His natural connection to the crowd will see him go far, as he has displayed a very well rounded set of athletics and an ability to fight against any odds or opponents. Normally injuries can derail or end young wrestler’s careers, but the fortitude shown by Logan Smith will see him go far within Scotland and outside of it.
