Piper Niven, formerly known as Viper, made her WWE RAW debut last night as Eva Marie’s “mystery friend” and decimated former WWE Smackdown Live! Women’s Champion Naomi in dominant fashion.

Niven, from Ayrshire in Scotland, made her WWE debut as part of the Mae Young Classic in 2017 making it past Santana Garrett and Serena Deeb on her way to the quarter finals before losing out to Toni Storm.

Starting her career in, what is now, the Source Wrestling School, Niven was trained in part by current NXT superstar Killian Dain.

Making her debut in 2009, Niven has travelled the wrestling world from Stardom in Japan, to the United States, to being featured on the World of Sport Wrestling revival on ITV, wrestling the likes of Jordynne Grace, Hana Kimura, Brandi Rhodes, Kimber Lee, LuFisto, Kris Wolf, and a whole host of top wrestlers, male and female.

Piper has held many championships all over the world including the Fierce Females Scottish Women’s Championship, EVE International Championship, ICW Women’s World Championship, Stardom Undisputed SWA World Women’s Championship, and Artist of Stardom Championship as part of Queen’s Quest which included former NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.

As part of BBC One’s Our Lives series in 2018, Piper was subject to the mini-documentary ‘Fight Like A Girl‘.

In 2019 Niven made her NXT UK debut, sparking the embers of a long storied rivalry with Kay Lee Ray, this time over the NXT UK Women’s Championship, ending in a hard hitting Falls Count Anywhere match which Piper ultimately fell to the then NXT UK Women’s Champion.

Niven joins fellow Scots, and former champions in WWE, Drew McInytre and Nikki Cross on WWE’s red brand.
