6. Saqib Ali
Saqib Ali has been busy in 2022 picking up championships. Ali started the period as Scottish Interpromotional Champion, travelling to Respect Pro Wrestling to defend against Robbie Wishart before losing it to Grant McIvor in March at Iron Girders Pro Wrestling, and as W3L Wrestling Showdown Champion, which he would eventually lose in March to Krieger. Saqib also picked up the W3L Tag Team Championships in February, teaming with Craig Stephens to defeat TJ Rage and Krieger.
Back at Iron Girders Pro Wrestling in April, Saqib bested Eddie Castle and the champion Grant McIvor to win the Scottish Interpromotional Championship again, briefly losing the title to The Sam Barbour Experience at Community Pro Wrestling in May before regaining the title back on the same night to become a three time champion.
After several matches for Insane Championship Wrestling guided by Chris Toal, including an unsuccessful challenge for the ICW Zero G Championship against Dylan Thorn, beating Jason Reed, and Caleb Valhalla, at ‘Fear & Loathing XIV’ in November, Ali won a six ladder match to become number one contender for the ICW Zero G Championship.
