Once again, Pro2 returns to the Kingdom of Rankinston as the small but mighty community shall witness the crowning of a new King of the Bing in the promotion’s second instalment of the show. Everyone is gunning for the cup, and this year is way more stacked than last year, so it is bound to not disappoint.

Frank Cross gave it his all last year, cashing in at ‘Dominion’ in a losing effort against TJ Rage; but, perhaps this year’s winner may have better luck as we run down the six-bout card in detail.

Also, Ayrshire Heavyweight Champion TJ Rage will appear to make an epic announcement.

Opulence (Che Monet & Luke Kyro) vs Meat Factory (Craig Berry & John Kerr)

At Homecoming back in March, Monet and Kyro put on a match-of-the-night contender with the “Weapon of Sass Destruction” coming out on top. After the bout, Monet grabbed a mic to state that he saw potential in his opponent and that Luke could go far in Pro2, but only if he learned from Monet. Now, it seems that Kyro has taken Monet up on that offer, sporting a brand-new look and attitude. The two polar opposites have great in-ring chemistry as opponents, but their chemistry as a tag team is yet to be determined in the long run; however, given how well they worked together at Rock ‘n’ Rasslin’, things may be looking good for the new duo.

The Meat Factory made an impression – despite their loss – at ‘Mayday Mayhem 2’ against the Blood Money Mercs, and after coming up short against the new team of Opulence at Rock ‘n’ Rasslin’ during PrestFest 2024, the big lads want revenge. Berry and Kerr have more experience as a tag team compared to Kyro and Monet, but given the surprise upset at PrestFest, they will have to adopt a new tactic if they wish to gain their first victory in Pro2.

Triple Threat – Davey Blaze vs Hunter Samson vs Silas Everett

“The Glasgow Gladiator” has become one of the most dominant champions in Scottish professional wrestling, and is almost unstoppable with “The Manager of Champions” Charles Boddington providing illegal assists during his matches. And tonight, Boddington has sleazily managed to get this triple-threat match changed to a non-title bout, meaning that Blaze does not have to defend the title he has been so fiercely protective of: the Scottish Interpromotional Championship. And, his opponents are none too happy about it either.

Silas Everett came within inches of gaining a championship opportunity against Blaze at Dominion but fell short against Taylor Bellando earlier in the night. Having had no success in Pro2 thus far, it is clearly getting to Everett and it is driving him mad. Upon discovering that the triple threat match was not for Blaze’s championship, Everett has become even more unhinged and is beyond furious. He plans on taking this match as a chance to prove to the world that he is more than deserving to be a future Scottish Interpromotional Champion and he can take “The Glasgow Gladiator” to his limit. But, his other opponent in the fight is a painfully familiar face.

The 6’7” monster from Fife has his sights set on Boddington and his crew, and will not stop until he puts all of them in the ground. Having lost by the skin of his teeth against Blaze at Rock ‘n’ Rasslin’, he is now wary of the savage in-ring style Blaze exhibits. It was at King of the Bing last year that Samson made his debut, gatecrashing the Scottish Interpromotional Championship match, narrowly losing his match for the Undisputed Why So Serious? Championship, and coming second in the main event battle royal to the very champion he gatecrashed. Hunter has proven himself to be someone you don’t want to anger. Silas knows firsthand the fury that the giant can unleash. Boddington has witnessed it as Samson came so close to conquering TJ Rage at ‘Homecoming’. Blaze was lucky to defeat him at Rock ‘n’ Rasslin’, but these are new circumstances, and the fire within Hunter Samson is now in volcanic mode. Hunter may not get the chance to take the belt from Blaze, but he can sure as hell punish him.

Pro2 Belles Championship – Angel Hayze (c) vs KT Mills

Angel Hayze has had nothing but drama since dethroning Emily Hayden at ‘BattleLines’ last year, with Belles’ Division Commissioner Rosie Nyte returning to claim her stake as the ‘real’ champion. In revenge, Angel attempted to distract Rosie in her ‘Mayday Mayhem 2’ contest against Daisy Jenkins. The Commissioner hasn’t forgotten about that and has decided to put Angel through the wringer. She barely overcame Hera in the main event of Rock ‘n’ Rasslin’ for the championship, but now Hayze must defend against a fellow Academy graduate in KT Mills.

Mills stood toe-to-toe with Hera in a monumental clash at Dominion and, although she tapped out, put in a decent performance. Now, the “Polynesian Powerhouse” has a chance to do what Hera couldn’t and dethrone Hayze. Mills’ size and strength will prove to be a challenge for the champ, but Angel has incredible determination and the Pro2 faithful are staunchly behind her; but, fan support can only get her so far. She will really need to dig her heels in if she wants to topple KT Mills.

Pro2 Ayshire Tag Team Championships – Lucha Scotland (Lucha DS & Soldato) (c) vs The Blood Money Mercs (Vinnie Van Driver & Dick Naylor)

The reign of tyranny is over. The Alliance are no longer Pro2 Tag Team Champions, and we
have Lucha Scotland to thank for that. At ‘Dominion’, Lucha Scotland reclaimed the Pro2 Tag
Team Championships, becoming the first two-time tag champs in the Ayrshire promotion.
But, there’s no rest for the wicked as the luchadors are getting straight to work and are drawn
against two familiar foes.

The Mercs have had a strong start to the year, defeating the Meat Factory in May and attacking Show Day Manager Big Bad John. But, Naylor allowed stupidity to get the better of him at Rock ‘n’ Rasslin’ when the Mercs challenged Lucha Scotland for the Pro2 tag titles when he kicked Soldato between the legs in front of the referee. Now, the Mercs have demanded another match for the gold, and the luchadors are more than willing to give them another shot if it means getting back at them for their antics at PrestFest and giving them a hard night.

And if there’s one thing Dick Naylor knows, it’s a hard night.

King of the Bing – Over The Top Rope Battle Royal

Professional wrestling’s answer to The Floor Is Lava returns yet again as Pro2 presents the King of the Bing Battle Royal, featuring all competitors on the card plus a few potential surprises. All competitors start in the ring and must endure an arduous game of elimination to be the last man (or woman) standing. Eliminations occur when you are thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor.

Last year, Frank Cross went the distance to become the inaugural trophy winner, cashing in against TJ Rage unsuccessfully at Dominion. Could Frank return for a second shot at the trophy, or could we have a new face emerging with the cup in their hands? The battle royal is stacked, with more faces than last year eager to earn a shot at whichever Pro2 championship they choose over the next calendar year. It’s all to play for. This may prove difficult for the four teams in action, as they can only work together for so long, and should any team member win, they could easily challenge for a singles title rather than the tag titles. Nobody is your friend in a battle royal, so it will be interesting to see how everyone fares in the match.
