We’re up to March in our Fair City Wrestling timeline and it’s the first part of Nae Mercy from The Tulloch Institute aka the Empire Zone in Perth. A named event means a flagship event, along with Fair City Rumble and ArdlerMania, which means higher stakes with this episode featuring two championship bouts.

FCW Women’s Championship – Brodie Adler defeated Tara Lenny by pinfall to retain.

An enthusiastic Brodie Adler entered holding her FCW Women’s Championship, bounding to the ring and soaking in the cheers and adoration from the FCW fans, it was a stark contrast to the challenger who emerged second speaking to the ego to be considered the star attraction of the bout, Tara Lenny bore holes into every single person that bought a ticket as she stalked around the ring. The attitude was up to 12 before the match even began. Lenny grabbed a standing side headlock that was powered out and switched to a wrist lock that Brodie was unwilling to release despite Tara’s attempts to twist her way out of the situation.

Once Adler finally let go she exercised her strength advantage to ground Tara Lenny with a running leg drop catching a two count. Brodie hoisted Tara up for a fireman’s carry until she found her eyes being gouged by Lenny to turn the tide. Tara picked her spots to drive her shoulder into the stomach of Brodie Adler in the corner, and stomping away at the FCW Women’s Champion while basking in the displeasure of the audience. Lenny kept the pressure on, taking the eyes of Brodie along the second rope but her overconfidence let Adler recover a little too long as she dragged Tara back into the ring for a slew of offense ending with a Samoan Drop for a near fall.

Tara tried a springboard but slipped on the second rope that showed a momentary rattling of the steely front that Lenny was exuding. Tara took a second and ran towards Adler who threw her down with a Gunnslinger for another two count. Lenny sidestepped a rampaging Brodie to send her out of the ring. While Tara gloated, the champion slid back in and drove Lenny into the canvas with a harsh ripcord Black Hole Slam to retain.

There was a little stumble towards the back half but overall these two had a very good match. The dynamic was clear cut, Tara might not be as experienced but she is wily and would forge openings through nefarious means. Her moves were simple but effective to give no room for any cheers or give a sliver to let the crowd come round into maybe even thinking of liking her. Brodie got to show resilience to weather the Tara Lenny storm, before getting on with the job in hand to end things emphatically. A story well told, and Tara has inter-grated into the Fair City Wrestling ways of things easily.

FCW Junior Heavyweight Championship – Triple Threat – Oliver Green w/Tommy Raiden defeated Botchico, and Party Boy by pinfall to retain.

As the mystery man in the match, Party Boy, got his pre-match check by the official, Botchico wasted no time in trying to gain a measure of revenge against the man that relieved him of the FCW Junior Heavyweight Championship by making a beeline for Oliver Green who cowered in the corner while there was separation, only to slap Botchico while he was being restrained. Party Boy tried to be a peacemaker but got a slap in the chops of his own from Green with Party Boy throwing hands at The Sky Ripper. After a bit of argy bargy, Party Boy and Botchico sent Oliver Green into the air for a double team hip toss.

Tommy Raiden let his spooky present known by grabbing and hauling Botchico to the outside, sending the former champion into the ring post. Green tried to take advantage but Party Boy had Green hurtling backwards for a snap German Suplex to fold Oliver up. Raiden jumped onto the apron for the distraction that allowed Green to strike with a clothesline and a barrage of kicks. A sweet tornado bulldog (which I am calling The Dandy Dog) got Green a two count with Oliver keeping control via a cannonball splash to Party Boy, and Tommy rolled in Botchico for another cannonball splash in the corner to connect. The challengers turned their attention to Tommy Raiden with Oliver Green diving off the apron with a senton into the group while Raiden was being mugged on the outside.

The Justified used their numbers to take down Party Boy with a back suplex/neckbreaker combination but a spirited Botchico fought back to give Green an Impaler DDT. Raiden continued to get involved which earned him a leg hook DDT concoction from Party Boy an a neckbreaker that looked to end his night. A superkick from Botchico and a TKO variant from Party Boy had Oliver Green out for the count. The only issue was that both men wanted the pin so the forearms went back and forth, a headbutt from Botchico swung the momentum his way. Party Boy dodged a basement elbow drop to get a high standing frog splash to net him two.

Party Boy went for an ankle lock that Botchico rolled out of, and countered a Party Boy springboard crossbody block for a Flatliner but before he could make the cover it was Oliver Green rushing in to bundle out Botchico and pick up the scraps to retain the FCW Junior Heavyweight Championship.

A fiery performance by Botchico, Party Boy took a little bit of warming up but he proved to be popular inclusion with plenty of unique offense. The shitebaggery of Oliver Green to antagonise everyone and use the no disqualification loophole to deploy Tommy Raiden at any chance was a good inclusion, it really adds to the hypocrisy of The Justified nicely, and Botchico hitting the final move for Green to swoop in and take the glory keeps Botchico’s claim to the title strong.

It was a solid episode of FCW Empire, the 2026 episodes have really seen an upturn of in-ring quality. There will always be matches that are bit more story heavy with less focus on the actual wrestling of it all but that has a time and place which Fair City Wrestling are starting to juggle more confidently to keep the show flowing smoother. The injection of new faces have come in with a big upside to create fresh matches and gives the promotions own wrestlers the experience of those trained outside of the DAPW system. It is currently paying dividends in the overall presentation of Fair City Wrestling and Dundee & Angus Pro Wrestling.
