What Could Happen At: 20 Years Of Insanity

Insane Championship Wrestling are returning on October 11th to celebrate 20 years of insanity at The Garage in Glasgow. The matches have started to be announced with a lot more to come so let’s harmlessly throw out a few potential bouts to mix the new era of insanity with those that have helped shape the previous two decades of chaos.

Whether any of these matches happen remains to be seen but let’s not stop that from us having a go:

LANDON RILEY VS BOWEN

As soon as the man formerly known as Stevie Boy was confirmed to return to ICW for this event the first name that came to mind was the self-proclaimed Ace of Insanity, Landon Riley. Riley has the potential to have that Bowen trajectory so to show that against the man himself would be a spectacular test. The time is now for Landon, coming off beating his former best friend, then wrestling in the Hydro, this could be the moment Landon Riley becomes truly unmissable.

ICW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
MOLLY SPARTAN VS NIKKI STORM

Molly Spartan is looking untouchable as Women’s World Champion, so much so challengers are going to have to come from elsewhere in the galaxy. Fire up the Backstreet Boys because things will get Larger Than Life if Molly stands across from Nikki Storm. It’s wild to think that Nikki never held the ICW Women’s Championship when it was introduced in 2015, with her being in the triple threat to crown the first ever champion along with Kay Lee Ray and eventual winner Viper.

Molly has been a tour de force since recapturing the championship, little seems to phase The Beautiful Bruiser but would coming against someone whose WWE accolades are so vast maybe rattle Spartan?

ICW ZERO-G CHAMPIONSHIP
MYLES KAYMAN VS BEN RODGERS VS WOLFGANG

We know that Myles Kayman will have the Golden Boy challenge in effect at this show, what we don’t know is who will answer. Recently it’s become a multi-wrestler affair so having the former champion Wolfgang come back for the title he lost in a four way in Newcastle, and Ben Rodgers who is after to carve his spot after a failure to dispatch Landon Riley.

Imagine this, Landon puts on a match of the night against Bowen, only for Ben to one up him by becoming Zero-G Champion. It would be, how the kids say, CINEMA.

JACK RIPLEY & NATASHA SWANN VS DCT & DAISY JENKINS

The issues between Natasha Swann and Daisy Jenkins are heating up and with Natasha having Jack Ripley in her corner then Daisy might need to phone 0800 OH OH OH to even those odds, even if that means being in the middle of a hot and sweaty situation of the back of that call. Who could control such a girthy match? Welcome back Dirk McIntosh, it’s neither been confirmed or denied if Dirk is in fact Jack Ripley’s Dad but I’m sure that Dirk and DCT have crossed paths and swords in the past…

ICW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS – 20 MINUTE SCRAMBLE
KEZ EVANS & BT GUNN VS LEWIS GIRVAN & FRASER GIRVAN VS JUDAS GREY & RONAN KING VS BRODY TURNBULL & JAKE LAWLESS VS LOGAN SMITH & JIMMY PIERCE

ICW have been using the scramble concept for the Zero-G Championship recently, I’d be interested to see how it would operate in the tag team division. The Dangerous Brothers in with The Girvans, Vanity, Arcade Violence, and The Young Team gets a good swipe of the journey of Insane Championship Wrestling in a mad dash 20 minutes just spells mayhem.

MARK COFFEY & JACKIE POLO VS JASON REED & COACH TRIP

This might be the most unlikely match thrown out there but imagine Polo Promotions coming back for one night only for an old firm scrap to give their former coach a walloping? Not much more to add than it would be insane to see the purple and pink jackets back in The Garage.

GRADO MEETS MICHAEL MAILER

I’m sure Michael knows a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy to finally get Madonna to let Grado use Like A Prayer on TV, and I’m sure Grado knows a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy to get The Dead Legs on Heart Radio, or the very least get them on a Championship Manager load screen right?

Lost Boy Aspen is in the building.
Lewis Girvan is in the building.
Kay Lee Ray is in the building.
and Bowen is in the building.

Sounds like high time for a filthy reunion in The Garage.

MARK DALLAS AND CHRIS TOAL INTRODUCE JACK JESTER INTO THE ICW HALL OF FAME

Three wrestlers hold the distinction on being in the ICW Hall of Fame, that being Carmel Jacob (2017), Drew Galloway (2018), and Lionheart (2023). A whole host of names could be considered here but with the recent appearance of a certain chain mail covered bat put one name forward in my mind, The Hardcore Icon Jack Jester. In a night of celebrating Insanity to have Dallas and Toal be the ones to tell the whole f’n story and announce Jester as the next person to be inducted would be a feel good moment.

A MESSAGE FROM DREW MCINTYRE

This seems like a no brainer, Drew was there near enough day one, the first ICW Heavyweight Champion and the man that returned to make it a world title. An appearance wouldn’t be off the table but let’s hold our horses and put him down for a classy video message.
