When Worlds Collide III: Rock N Wrestle vs WrestleZone
It’s been a while since a When Worlds Collide was published. Check out previous instalments below:
When Worlds Collide I: Reckless Intent vs SWE
When Worlds Collide II: WrestleZone vs W3L
As it’s been a long time I’ve chosen two companies a know fairly well in terms of roster, both operate in the Highlands/North East of Scotland and I think having a wee brand war would be a mouth watering affair.
Some of these wrestlers have crossed over to each company but for the sake of this I have chosen their “home promotion” out of the two.
So, what would I like to see if WrestleZone faced off against Rock N Wrestle? Well dear reader…scroll down…
Lou King Sharp, Aaron Echo and Tam The Ram vs Sterling Oil (William Sterling, Alan Sterling and Shawn Johnson)
A young team versus the established. A great mix with both having the speed, power and technical ability in both teams. Sterling Oil would have the advantage in terms of chemistry but Sharp, Echo and Tam are all gutsy in that they can take a beating but can’t be kept down. A big brawl to kick off a night of interpromotional action with the teams setting the tone for the evening.
Kid Fite vs Damien
I’d see this as a game of chess with each trying to outsmart/outdeceive the other. Both aren’t shy in taking a few shortcuts to take the upper hand.
BT Gunn vs Aspen Faith
This is a dream match with The Oddity taking on The King of Catch. Sammii Jayne would be barred from ringside to allow this match to go uninterupted in what would be a smooth and graceful display of wrestling, with a little risk involved.
Donnie T, The Beloved Krycek and Saqib Ali vs Mr P, Kaden Garrick and Johnny Lions
A big multiman match involving the SSP Mafia taking on the intense team of Mr P, Garrick and Lions. The current WrestleZone Tag Team Champions might have an advantage teaming with the veteran Lions, Lions has had his problems with Mr P in the past but with company pride on the line I’d see them putting that aside to fight a bigger fight. The SSP Mafia have had a pretty good run in Rock N Wrestle so wouldn’t be easy opponents as they’d have more experience as a trio unit.
TJ Rage vs Crusher Craib
A big hoss battle between two of the biggest guys in their respective rosters just throwing punches and power moves at each other in a King Kong versus Godzilla like battle. It would be The Spear versus The Big Boot as both have devestating, hard hitting finishing manoveures that come out of nowhere so it will be a big battle but with a sudden, impactful ending.
Lucy Cole vs Sammii Jayne
Lucy Cole has been really growing in RNW by taking on all comers, not always getting the win but giving more of a fight each time. Sammii Jayne has appeared in RNW with Aspen Faith and has shown she can handle herself when it comes to fighting, even giving Crusher Craib a few shots. In WrestleZone she, again, is mainly at Aspen Faith’s side but when called upon she is more than up for a fight having battled Debbie Sharpe on several occasions. These two would mesh pretty well with the cocky and vicious Sammii taking on the fresh faced and hungry Cole.
Champion vs Champion – Non-Title
RNW Highland Champion ‘Bad Boy’ Liam Thomson vs WZ Undisputed Champion ‘The Red Haired Warrior’ Scotty Swift
The current champions in their respective companies with Liam Thomson facing off against the popular Scotty Swift. Both guys have a been in big matches and have the main event experience. I’ve always called Scotty Swift the ‘Franchise’ of WrestleZone and by representing the company against Rock N Wrestle’s Highland Champion would only be fitting of his stature, not only as the Undisputed Champion but as the face of WrestleZone.
