Preview: WrestleZone ‘Live in Fraserburgh 2017’

With all the fallout from last month’s Regal Rumble, the stars of WrestleZone are back in action this Saturday at the Dalrymple Hall in Fraserburgh. With the road to Aberdeen Anarchy now officially underway, everyone will be out to earn their spot on the card.

Scotty Swift & The Rejected (Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago) vs Sterling Oil (Shawn Johnson, William Sterling & Damien)

The main event for this Saturday’s show sees a huge 6 man tag match as the new Undisputed Champion Scotty Swift teams with the reigning Tag Team Champions in The Rejected to face the Sterling Oil trio of William Sterling, Damien and 2017 Regal Rumble winner Shawn Johnson. Scotty recently went through an absolute war with Andy Wild at the Regal Rumble to reclaim his title, where he was the victim of a piledriver. He now looks towards a huge title match with Shawn Johnson at Aberdeen Anarchy on June 17th. Shawn has been on a huge roll as of late, being the only member of Sterling Oil to pick up victories so far in 2017. This match will serve as a taste of what is to come this summer in the Beach Ballroom.

Bryan Tucker vs Aspen Faith

After the controversy that surrounded the semifinals of the Tri-Counties Title Tournaments during the Regal Rumble, two of the final four will square off as Bryan Tucker takes on Aspen Faith. After Aspen’s semifinal match with Bingo Ballance ended in a time limit draw, he decided to interfere in Bryan’s match with Zach Dynamite to cost both men the opportunity to be the first champion. With both men looking ahead to semifinal rematches in Westhill, now is the time for Aspen and Bryan to showcase their abilities and prove why they deserve to be the inaugural Tri-Counties Champion.

Mr P vs Kaden Garrick

For the third time, former tag partners will collide as Mr P takes on Kaden Garrick. Their first bout at Summerhill Showdown went to a no contest as the former 2-time Tag Team Champions brawled around ringside, while Kaden picked up the win with a handful of tights at WrestleZone’s show in Newtonhill. Mr P put in a fantastic showing during the Regal Rumble match and eliminated Kaden in record time, but was left laying backstage during an interview at the hands of Andy Wild. With Andy scheduled to appear for PBW this Saturday, it looks like Mr P will have his hands solely focused on his former best friend.

Marcus North vs Bradley Evans

Two graduates from the WrestleZone Training Academy will square off this weekend as Bradley Evans goes one on one with Marcus North. After they both made their debuts as part of a 6 man tag match in Montrose, Marcus and Bradley have been proving their worth in WrestleZone. They made a lasting impression during their appearances in this year’s Regal Rumble match, despite not picking up the big win. Two young rookies of WrestleZone have the chance to showcase what they’ve learned in Fraserburgh.

Zach Dynamite vs Lord Mr Malice

Zach Dynamite, one of the other final four in the Tri-Counties Title Tournament, will look to keep his momentum going as he faces Lord Mr Malice in Fraserburgh. After his Tri-Counties Title Tournament semifinal match with Bryan Tucker went to a no contest at the Regal Rumble, Zach will be looking towards a rematch with Bryan in Westhill. Meanwhile, Lord Mr Malice just tries to enjoy himself while in the ring. His Majesty recieved a huge reception when he entered the Regal Rumble match. Are the fans finally behind The Malice Miracle?

Jimbo Bannon vs Super Executioner

The final match scheduled for this weekend sees Jimbo Bannon squaring off against Super Executioner. This will be Executioner’s first appearance in WrestleZone since last year’s Halloween Hijinx event, where he was defeated in the first ever Halloween match. Jimbo Bannon completed his rookie year at the Regal Rumble, with his team victorious in a ten man tag team match before he competed in his second Regal Rumble match. Entering at number 7, Jimbo put in a good showing until being the fifth man eliminated. Both competitors will be looking to use their MMA abilities to pick up momentum heading into Aberdeen Anarchy on June 17th.

Tickets for the show are available from, priced at Β£12 for adults and Β£10 for under 14s. Pay at the door entry will also be available on the night. Doors at the Dalrymple Hall open at 7pm, with the action kicking off at 7:30.
