As I slowly work on One To Watch articles, by the time I manage the 24 for 24 it’ll probably 2025 so in the meantime I have had a look at the upcoming tag teams in Scotland for 2024. 12 teams, 24 wrestlers, almost like that was planned.

Like last year (here) I will be picking teams that have not won tag team championship gold together… yet. Three of the teams in that list went on to win tag team championships in 2023 so I’m a bit smug about that, however three teams broke up so it does even out…

There are numerous tag team tournaments on the horizon with Insane Championship Wrestling‘s Tag Team Cup at ‘The Great Glesga Bash’, along with Attitude Pro Wrestling and Community Pro Wrestling due to crown tag team champions this year.

The below list is in no particular order, with some newer teams just missing out. The tag team scene in Scotland got stronger in 2023 with new and established teams gaining championship recognition with 2024 looking to expand on that growth.

12. The Unwanted
JTT & The Renegade Wrex

Just pushing The Vicious Lads out of the top 12, The Pack have been running roughshod in Community Pro Wrestling, extending their numbers to include Thorin, Draven, and Nathan Oliver. Within The Pack is The Unwanted, JTT and The Renegade Wrex, who made their Target Wrestling debut in 2023 along with tag team offerings in Attitude Pro Wrestling and Community Pro Wrestling.

A rough and ready no nonsense tag team that have the chance to become the first APW Tag Team Champions at ‘Bound For Wishaw’.

11. SKOL BROL
Caleb Valhalla & Lost Boy Aspen

SWN’s Tag Team of the Year started 2024 by becoming number one contenders for the Discovery Wrestling Tag Team Championships. 2023 was mostly the two brawling with each other before coming together for a common cause and that being The Good Times.

From there Aspen has shown Caleb the Midgard ways like light switches and fridges, along with skateboarding. An odd couple duo that have proven to be a formidable team in the ring.

10. Termination Z
Big Ross Hauser & Daro

A team that is still undefeated in Community Pro Wrestling, Hauser and Daro have been taking on teams of all shapes and sizes with victory soon following against the likes of The Foundation of the Future, The Meat Factory, KoE, Sinergy, The Par, and Casino Brutale.

CPW are bringing in tag team titles this year, and with their record, it must make them firm favourites to beat 15 other teams and scale the ladder to become the inaugural champions.

9. The Good Times
Monstrum & Robb Stow

Over at Discovery Wrestling, Robb Stow and Monstrum, lead by Mister Manoval, have been quick to make an impact first by conspiring and removing Joe Hendry as Discovery Wrestling Y Division Champion then by getting into some colossal brawls with SKOL BROL.

Monstrum has had a few dance partners in 2023 with James Erdos, and Thatcher Wright enlisting the services of the monster, but the team with Stow has been causing a lot of chaos in the capital.

8. Flippy N Drippy
Ronan King & Connor Molloy

Formed in 2023, first in Community Pro Wrestling then later in the year for WrestleZone, capping off 2023 with a win over SKOL BROL in the main event of ‘Christmas Chaos’. The tag team dynamic is undeniable, the charisma oozes, and a victory over the two singles champions in the North East is a big scalp to have.

King has a team with Judas Grey on the horizon so the potential to see all three in some sort of faction is tantalising.

7. Risky Business
Jack Ripley & Ashton Rainn

Source Wrestling School folding into Glasgow Pro Wrestling Asylum afforded Risky Business to make an impact in their Insane Championship Wrestling debut, making the most of it against the now ICW Tag Team Champions KoE.

A flashy team, vibrant, and, as the name suggests, a high risk duo.

6. The Govan Team
Cousin Zander & Steg

You could throw in Ravie Davie to complete the faction, but The Govan Team are a staple of Community Pro Wrestling known for their venue wide brawls.

Cousin Zander bulldozes while Steg uses them Spider-Bam skills to throw his body with wild abandon. A popular team, whether it’s in a rabid Fairfield Club in Govan or beyond, bringing the scheme atmosphere wherever they go.

5. Legends Never Die
Fulton King & Sami Sparx

When last years list was compiled Legends Never Die were hot off an ICW Tag Team Championship match against Glasgow Grindhouse. 2023 saw their stock rise with anarchy caused at Attitude Pro Wrestling, Community Pro Wrestling, Target Wrestling, and VALOR Wrestling.

A team that have great chemistry with no fear to square up to any tandem that comes up against them.

4. The Par
Ross Hunter & Robert Balfour

Another Mister Manoval lead duo, whether they were The Woke Academy or now The Par, Hunter and Balfour have been a well oiled machine coming up against Bowl-A-Rama and Greedy Souls for PWR PRO and a debut for Discovery Wrestling against The Fair City Saints.

They ended 2023 by gaining the services of Manoval and starting some beef with The Meat Factory. A break out year looms.

3. The Meat Factory
John Kerr & Craig Berry

The big lads from PWR PRO have been slappin’ meat against the best of them in 2023. They found themselves clashing with their teacher Andy Roberts in Fair City Wrestling that gave fans some big meaty encounters.

Berry and Kerr added a bit of sizzle to their steak in clashes for PWR PRO, and Community Pro Wrestling including a win against Arcade Violence in a six-man tag match, closing 2023 with a big win over the team of Andy Roberts and Tommy Kartel at Fair City Wrestling.

2. Arcade Violence
Brody Turnbull & Jake Lawless

Despite a loss in Deed Poll Danger against Casino Brutale, Arcade Violence continued to ply their trade at Iron Girders Pro Wrestling and Blockbuster Pro Wrestling, with appearances in Insane Championship Wrestling including battling The Young Team over the vacant ICW Tag Team Championships.

2023 also saw a debut for Pro2 Wrestling plus saw the duo step in with big names like Grado and Jack Jester, along with KoE, Casino Brutale, and The She-Wolves. The AV Club is a tight knit unit.

1. Casino Brutale
Rabu Romero & Mikey Devine

In my humble opinion, it is only a matter of time before Casino Brutale cash in and retrieve some bullion around their waist. One of the best put together tag teams in Scotland, from their in-ring prowess to their online content, Devine and Romero are total entertainment.

2023 saw them team with Eric Young, head to Newcastle, defeat KoE, The Young Team, and Arcade Violence among battles with BT Gunn and Kez Evans, Singery, The She-Wolves, and Reece & Rogan.

The Brutale boys have already ticked off a dream match in Scotland, facing The Foundation of the Future at Fair City Wrestling for the FCW Tag Team Championships this past January, although unsuccessful on the night it won’t be the last time those two teams face off.
